^I agree he's terrible. I also think he sounds like a girl when he sings. However, he's been a popular artist in Japan for quite a long time. However, I'm not sure where his popularity is now as I haven't checked into him since the last time I heard his songs and didn't like it over half a decade ago.

uhm Ken Hirai choosed Namie, not the other way around
his voice is hit or miss for me too...but his last single was awsome (kohaku i think)

I've downloaded and listened to (not entirely) one of his albums (Fakin Pop) and I must say I didn't like it.......okay, only one song...too many generic ballads and his voice is not really my cup of tea...so yeah..not really eager to hear this song..maybe namie's part.

It really doesn't matter since she obviously wanted to work with him as well if she accepted.
