It seems the members respect her decision, but Jessica started her brand earlier, before the last album with the 9 girls.
The other members think SNSD isn't her priority and they kick her out.

That's what I'm understanding.

If Jessica really wanted to be Jessica of SNSD she still had the opportunity and refused

This is just getting uglier and uglier. I'm shocked that the other girls would push her out (if it's true) - I mean I never believed in thee "BFF BLISS", they're 9 GIRLS. They probably fight and argue all the time, and some probably don't get along at all, but I didn't ever imagine they would push one out. This is so rotten, and I'm worried we will never get a true answer to what is actually going on..

Apperently some "inside info" on the situation. Id take it with a grain of salt, but interesting to read:

^ this Dispatch article seems like a buy-off SM biased
this is ugly, I belive Jessica, SM fucked big time this year, with pretty much every artist they have, so my faith in SM has pretty much vanished

^ Seriously. Dispatch is the one who leaked the Baekyeon or w/e their couple name is info lol. I would take anything from them with a grain of salt, since they're very obviously "in" with SM.

To be fair, there's no way of knowing whether Jessica's lying or not, but I believe her 100%. Just because SM is a HORRIBLE, horrendous company. I seriously feel like they're just going to somehow implode within the next few years. Especially considering the shit that happened with Kris/EXO this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they kicked Jess out just to set an example for their other idols. "Like, hey, you want solo esteem? Don't expect to keep your job." They can't just let her get away with trying to have a solo project! Especially not with Kris bailing how he did like four months earlier.

God, I HATE SM.

It's just ridiculous how these companies operate on these draconian business models.

The idol culture is out of control. The labels are out of control.

It's fucking disgusting.

But if we listen to Jessica, she never intended to leave the group anyways, so I don't know who to believe anymore... I'll stick with Sica though, I don't see why she would be lying.

maybe they didn't give her that option? Maybe it was 3 or nothing, and if she though she would stay in the group for, let's say, 1 more year, then it made sense to sign it. And, of course, they're saying she had changed her mind about leaving the group completely, so it makes sense she would sign it.

am I the only one that doesn't get this concept that, if someone is leaving his/her job, he/her has to commit to it 110% before effectively leaving?
I feel it would have been way better if they had just let her stop participating in the group schedules little by little, this way everyone would start to accept that she is leaving little by little until she finally did so. But instead they expected her to work completely committed pretending like everything was normal. What would they do when her time to leave finally arrived (had she not been kicked out)? "So, she left the group. She has been leaving for over an year, but we just didn't mention until know. Surprise!"... sounds like a stupid idea to me, and clearly it has backfired in the middle of the process, because, let's face it, she signed a contract with the investors, so demanding her to halt her business activities when she's actually bounded to it by a contract is a bit irrational...

Why? Jessican trained for 7 years before getting into SNSD, do yo know that's a lot of money for SM? (Food, classes, a place to live for 7 years) Then she has been a SNSD member for just 7 years. You expect for an investment to at least she will be performing MORE than 7 years that's the cost of producing her, she didn't even care.

yeah exactly... it should be smooth and progressive when you decide to leave... especially if there's no rush.

I said premature because, as all said before, it doesn't make sense to just kick her out of the group while a clear agreement has not been settled yet. And it's unfair to just suddenly taking a one sided decision while leaving the other in the dark.

I believe in Jessica, SM has been so fucked up this couple of years I can't believe them anymore. I just hope that as they continue to fuck up, the stock prices decreases more and more to the point that Youngmin should be kick out too.

lol

SM wouldn't make their original contracts, if they didn't know they were going to be profitable. I'm SURE that their investment in her has been made many times over. If it wasn't, why would they resign her or any of the girls? This is one of the most profitable groups in the world. You REALLY think they haven't made their money back?

Lols. You must not know how businesses work. None of these labels are in the red.

Just because they're profitable, doesn't make it right. But that's just me, hating Asian idol culture and the practices therein. Whatever.

tbh a lot of these groups probably should stop while they're ahead.

And lulz at that clip. Jessica's voice for daaaaaaayyyysssssssss.

Let's be honest, lots of artists have their clothing brand and that never conflicts with the group schedule.

And GG schedule is almost inexistent. In between their albums, they practically disappear from Earth.

I'm with Jessica on this. I'm just sad she has bonds wih SM for the next years :/
