Years ago she did some special club shows called "MY FAVORITE SONGS", which consisted entirely of covers, so I kind of figured she'd release a cover album eventually but I didn't think it'd take this long.
 It's sucks too that this album will be TSUTAYA exclusive. Satomin isn't very popular so it will probably take a long time to leak. Kimagure Dolce hasn't even leaked yet. :/ Last edited by FIRSTKLAS; 31st May 2013 at 05:04 PM.

I was sure Kimagure Dolce leaked a while ago but I can't find a link anywhere.. I'll have to double check that whenever I get back home.

I was randomly listening to her again this morning for the first time in like 3-4 years, and it kinda made me sad how much potential was squandered after her first few amazing singles. I noticed her website hasn't been updated in over a year and her blog doesn't seem to have any ties to avex/rhythm zone anymore, so I wonder if she's been dropped or left or w/e. I was going to say, if that was the case, she could probably find another, smaller label to sign with and put out some decent material again, but I honestly think the music she's been making since "arigatou" or so is genuinely what she likes, lol.
I did give her cover album a spin today and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! "hitomi wo tojite" especially was great. I may have to track down a physical copy of that.

^completely agree! i've been listening to her singles a lot lately, and she had some great tracks. its too bad that she just kind of slipped away, but MASCARA was not a very good album, and her singles weren't getting much attention.
before she debuted, there was talk from within avex that she had the potential to be the next koda kumi or ayumi hamasaki. looking back, i believe that if they had pushed her to do certain types of music, she was likeable enough to be a decently big act. i would have loved if they had kept her on the path of Tabibito and Hyaku Renka (particularly the tribal version), and forged ahead with folk tinged pop. that is what my soul wants, and she couldve made it accessible to the masses. *goes to cry in a dark corner singing "naite naite naku dake naite..."
