And it's not someone from AHS, it's a fan from Asia called Prince Sam (can't remember where he's from). He does lots of fanworks like these!

EDIT: Prince Sam posted about this on baidu, he's really happy and cannot believe that they used his work again. Some comments by other users: "Ayu should give you a free ticket for the CDL", "you should apply to enter Ayu's team" XD

and seriously though,Ayu needs to give him proper credit or pay him at least;

about the official logo,not that happy, those crads just reminds me of the CDL where she played as Alice in Wonderland,like those cards with Ayupan on it. And the font is something a high school student can do it. The other logo that had been posted here is better.

Prince sam needs to be in AHS to tell us whether avex asked his permission or not..
all i know that ayu did ask on twitter when she was in singapore that who made the logo.. donno if prince sam replied her or not.

i just hope the CDL will turn out really grande like its title, midnight circus.

Like I said, on baidu he opened a topic about it and said that he couldn't believe that they used his work again...
"I really can't believe it, I hit the jackpot once again!" "I can't say that I'm not moved" and so on. On Weibo he said: "Gosh! I hit the jackpot! After the 15th anniversary tour, Ayumi Hamasaki is using my work again! I'm too lucky people, I'm happy ok".
It looks like he learned the news today just like us and said nothing about avex contacting him.
I think if they had he would have mentioned it and tell people how it happened. After all it's not everyday that a company like avex contacts you. avex didn't ask him or even credit him the last time so why would they even bother doing it this time...

It still feels bad though, they know from last time that he's happy just because it's being used. I think a lot of us could empathise with 'omg Ayu is using my work!!', but that's why it's kind of worse for me. They're taking advantage of the fact that he's a fan. :/

if i was someone from avex which is HUGE company, i'd make the person who i'm dealing with sign it because otherwise (Prince Sam in this case) could go everywhere shouting THEY PAID ME THIS AND THIS MUCH. i bet he would say something about avex using his work without any permission.

and ayu personally asked people help her to find him so if they were just gonna use it, why bother?

They should just stop using fan-made logos lol. It looks lazy and tacky on their part that they can't come up with anything better as professionals, and the logo is super tacky to begin with. I mean it really doesn't say much lol.

Anyway, I was hoping for a moodier theme like the name "midnight circus" implies. Too bad. It looks really juvenile.

What I meant by "he would have said something" is that he could have said today "actually avex contacted me a while ago because they wanted to use my logo" or "they hired me for this one". Nothing else. But he didn't. He sounded genuinely surprised and happy that they used it, so for me he learned the news today just like us.

Like I said (twice) before, the guy doesn't care about not being paid and avex using his work without "permission".
The first time for the A BEST LIVE logo some people said on baidu that he should ask compensation to avex and he said that he was just happy and proud that his idol was using his work. He learned the news on the day the logo was revealed. And avex didn't even credit him then. They just stated that the logo had been inspired by "fans".
And the same thing is happening with the CDL logo. He learned the news today, he's just very happy and can't believe that his work has been used again, he feels like a lucky fan.

The Vegas theme is huge in japan during cristmas! not sure why, but they love it. lol.
I like the logo, although the color choices a bit ... blah. but over all pretty cool.

And, seriously we have many talented artists here on AHS and the logos that were designed here were soooo good. I think next time more effort should be made to get her avex's and ayu's attention in order to inspire them from some of these other fanworks.

Logo is interesting but those that people of AHS made were wayyy better and suitable. Anyway, the author of original logo expressed on twitter his surprise of his logo being used as a base for the actual one so i doubt anybody contacted him.
