The release date is barely a month away and still no official announcement.
If they finally announce it this week, I think we'll have all the info such as covers, tracklists and whatever, otherwise I believe they will postpone the date. It's taking too long.

Kumi better sleigh with this album. I didn't listen to hotel or dance in the rain (well I did when it first came out but I forgot how it goes), so this album will be basically 100% new for me. Let's pray that it's her spring awakening and that she delivers the goods and shuts shit down.

well nothing happened like expected...

my theory is that it was planned as best album (around Xmas she asked if she should do a full album or keep the finished tracks and mix it with old hits?!) that's why the shops have this album listed for a march 4th release...

after she decided to do a full album, i think they changed it for a late march/early april release to have time to finish the new songs!

And by now I'm liking the idea of WALK OF MY LIFE... Maybe cuz this time it's not a random theme, we'll get something more personal than usual, I'd love to see that from Kuu. I'd die for her to compose something again, even if it's not a masterpiece, I find self-composed songs so heartwarming

I was also hoping for a high-fashion flamboyant shoot, like Color the Cover or some Alexander McQueen crazy sheet, but for this title I guess a shoot like the 15th anniv promo one would work so well, with simple scenarios and elegant.

Nope. Kuu already confirmed to Oricon/Modelpress before that she was working on an original album so this was always the plan.

I do wonder why everything is taking so long. It's funny because I feel like Bon Voyage and this album (as of now anyway) are her most rushed albums when she had a lot less time for the albums before.

Please, please, please don't let the name of the album be WALK OF MY LIFE. It just doesn't sound cool compared to her previous album titles. Even BEST ~third universe & 8th al "UNIVERSE" sounds better. Way better. Just call it MY LIFE.

I've totally gone through a phase lately where Imagine is all I want to listen to. I love that song sfm and the mermaid getup she wears while performing it on the Bon Voyage tour is amaaaaazing. Hairspiration tbh.

EXILE's single, EXILE TRIBE DVD, and Mika Nakashima's album for the same release day as Kuu still haven't been announced btw. I think we'll get an announcement next Wed with all info (covers, tracklist, etc) with the release date the same. Lets see.

lol You're talking like that's some established release pattern when in reality she only has 2 albums out. Two years between the first two, three years between EH and FROOT. Hardly a typical 3-4 year wait between albums. More like a typical Western pop release pattern. The nice thing is that Western artists compensate by making albums with much longer shelf lives, so I'd absolutely take a 2-year wait for an album that'll last me a couple months over a j-pop throwaway "guess I better put some filler on here to sell this single compilation!" album that I bore of in 2 weeks tops*.

*Not that I feel that way about Kuu. Just j-pop in general.

I don't mind japanese album market, it could be worse like korean market with all those mini albuns and re-release.

I quit holding my breath for the announcement, I'll just wait and "wake up a day and there it, is all the information about it". haha

I think I'm the only one who don't have a problem with the name of the album...
