I don't drink nor do i party....300 euros a month is REALLY little and i need to survive on that....considering i give half away for rent....this stuff would be no use for me really, i can't really spend money on music even if i want to, the ability to participate in the ticket lotteries is also pointless for me. Ayu's diaries aren't that interesting and it's not exclusive if she speaks about new releases, cuz they, you know, will eventually be announced anyways. So really, it's kind of a waste of money.

I had a friend who was a member of DEARS - GACKT's official fan club , and she was also a member of Miyavi's too, you know what she did without any reason? she gave me her log ins to both. I was completely shocked. People always would get mad red about sharing that stuff.

I think i would share stuff as well. I mean what's the fun of being excited about something when you are the only person who knows about it?

Anyway. She really is looking younger than ever before!

"who will spend money on this ****" is opposite meaning from "I don't have money / not interested" and I will never respect it.
Money is money and fanclub is one of the way to get them. Of course it's not so much. As artist ayu need to sell herself in different ways -> to recieve money -> to spend it and be able to do what she wants to. And I don't mean luxury life, I mean recording and shooting, etc

Before my journey with Japanese music, I hadn't heard a lot of fan-clubs for western artists. I knew there were fan-clubs for boygroups in the 90's, but nowadays are there fan-clubs with the Western artists?

Sorry, if that doesn't make sense, lol. Pre-Inter English.

Her diaries are translated and have exclusive photos, there are exclusive videos that are not on her YouTube channel like A-nation Singapore making of, there's exclusive online magazine, there are exclusive wallpapers. You can write to Ayu and TeamAyu staff to leave some sort of feedback. There's also a fact that you are supporting the artist which is the main reason of this fanclub in the first place.
For me personally it's enough to join.

I really don't get why TA even bothers making things like galleries "TA Only", when it can just be shared digitally, anyway. Things like special CDs and lotteries make more sense, to me anyway. I don't really care too much for galleries, way. Probably just more pictures of Ayu doing yoga, anyway.

even though pics from TA-only spread but TA-Only can still able to feel the exclusive-ness from lotteries, the magazines, the goods..u can't spread/share those, i mean you can have the actual things. TA still has benefits. though i have not yet joined TA because some reasons. i wish i could someday.

I would disagree that it's pointless for everyone. For us, who go to her concerts and live far away from Japan this means that we don't have to find and pay for the middle-men or use the expensive re-seller shops, but can get the concert tickets at regular prices and win some good seats. Plus we are able to get TA versions of the releases.

Also the blog is not always about the new releases and it's now being translated into English as well. $30 a year is around $2.5 a month which is something nearly everyone can afford. I am fine with sharing things though, but you attitude is a little bit off there...

I think the time I really wanted to join TeamAyu was 2001 and then 2004. And I desperately wanted to join Koda's club in 2006-2008.
I had no money back then and they weren't international. now they're international, but I've lost my spark to join, lol

Yeah I can understand that, I think people may assume that those in TA fanclub might think they're better fans than those who aren't, but I don't feel that way. I just don't appreciate those few members who say they can't/won't join TA but believe they show be allowed to see the TA fanclub things, if that makes sense. Or asking for fanclub content to be shared on the forums. You can't have it both ways.

Like I said, the main reason I joined in 2012 and 2014 was because I was going to Japan later that year and wanted to get tickets in the TA lotteries. If I'm not going to Japan the following year I may not renew my membership, I'm not sure. And as a side note, all 3 of my applications in 2014 were unsuccessful and I had to buy a ticket off of another member here, so being in TA does NOT guarantee you a ticket to any show.

Which was rather depressing at the time...
