I'll bother one more time utena lol

Because digital downloads are really cheap in Korea that's why the numbers are so high. They don't PREFER to go to japan, they have to, to make extra cash, everyone knows that Japanese CDs are rather pricey (I mean look at the limited edition of Dress to Kill YIKES!) Also Pledis is on a constant verge of bankrupcy so ofc they go to Japan, hoping they'd become popular and make cash and that worked as long as K-Pop was still really popular in Japan and every group could have big sales (more or less) but now it's not that easy anymore. And ofc physical copies of ALBUMS bring in more money than digital downloads of ONE SONG but I like to look at it this way: Physical sales represent mostly the fandom while digital represents the public as most people are only interested in the title track of the album and it's also cheaper for them. Unless it's someone like IU because people know she also has good album tracks. Snsd has both a big fandom and public recognition so they do well in both fields, while EXID's fandom isn't that big yet, I'm sure it'll grow though like AOA's and Girls' day's

^^Ryusei I agree with all of your statements.

In Korea the digital sales tell what is popular, the physical sales show the power of your fandom.
And it's true, Taeyeon will take action against the haters who spread malicious comments, there are a lot of them since the EXO's member issue.

No, honey, in Korea they aren't. Physical sales in Korea are very low, unless you're a big name, like someone else already posted here and even then, SNSD can only sell 200k tops. Japan is the second biggest music market in the world, losing only to the USA, so it's natural that everybody prefers that market because it's much more profitable. You can release many different versions of a single (because they still release physical singles), they have albums, DVDs, collections and collectibles, things that aren't commom in Korea.

In Korea you have full albums and minis, only that. Digital sales are much more important because music is consumed primarily in digital form in that country, with CDs aimed to the fandom.

Through the digital sales you can measure if the song is really succesful or not. Did you get it now?

I've never said the contrary, I said that (korean) physicals were more relevant than digital because they make more profit from it. Can you read?

I'm still waiting for a source on this "Japan is the biggest music market in the world." According to the IFPI, the US's market is still almost double Japan's in value as of 2014.

^ maybe because most korean albums only have one MV...... or at least in 2011 that was the case.

move on from Jessica...the fact is now SNSD has just 8 members. Maybe in the future, maybe like 10 years from now..maybe it's possible they will re-unite but for now..move on...

episode 2 with eng sub is not out yet?

I wonder when they will release the other title tracks...

Jessica was the best thing in that damn group, it's really hard to move on, and I'm not doing it, considering their material so far without her has been plain garbage

Jessica will always be missed
