The worst is that the one who probably actually understands this is ayu and not Timmy

Culturally speaking, I always thought stuff like that was outright distasteful in Japan. If it was one person yelling it I would have just assumed it was one jerk, but if it was more than one person, that surprises me. What's the demographic at these concerts? Is it mostly young people, 18-30?

To me it is slightly different but we have different perspective. Ayu possibly could hear that, even though she could only hear by one ear..

I doubt he is fluent.
My friend who was front row at one concert told me Ayu always spoke english when talking to Timmy without the microphone between the songs.

Timmy made one of the last entries for the TA Tour blog.
The sentence structure he used, was quite simple, so I also get the feeling he isn't fluent in Japanese. But at least he knows basic Japanese, I believe. (and I hope he learns more, living and working in Japan, but that's another topic).
Though those remarks from fans weren't really hard to understand, so he probably got it...
Glad they just don't care.

No Timmy's Japanese is not fluent, his basics are very good and he really improved a lot compared to before though. That made it so awesome!
And even in the talk he used gestures for words he didn't know which actually made it a lot of fun not only to listen to but also to see

Actually it's pretty common in Japan. I've been living in Japan for almost 5 years now and even if my Japanese is really fluent I have people talking about me in the same train, or talk back to me in bad English (English is not even my native tongue) or when you say your opinion they tell me "oh yeah you are not Japanese that's why you think different" and that all just because I'm blond with blue eyes... Especially when I worked in a department store, everywhere I passed I heard my coworkers "Omg, what's with this foreigner?he can't work here!" And the person who gave instructions just refused to talk with me and instead asked a coworker to tell me what to do.
I once in a supermaket even had someone tell me they couldn't understand English even though I clearly spoke in normal Japanese.

In Japan they have this belief that there are almost only real "Japanese people" and I guess that's one big problem. There are many people who just hate other Asians just because they are different.
Ayu was different too right? And I think somewhere she mentioned she was bullied too. It's kind of Japanese culture to exclude things that are different. You have to fit in..

I really hate this happening. Certain group of people cling you into the culture and exclude other kind of people based on skin colours. What year are we living in? 1950 in the US?

I must admit that its still happening here in Japan, but not everywhere and everytime, and its a good thing that (based on my experience) its getting better and the new Japanese generation starts to be openminded when it comes to these things.

Being born half Japanese and Filipino, i sometimes get stared at and told of something for not being too "Japanese" probably because of my bigger eyes and tanned skin. When I was younger, I used to mind it a lot, but as I grew older, I met more and more people who are awesome to love you for what you are, who you are, and how your appearance is. We are now in a new different era, let them live in the 1950s LOL

And I have a feeling that AYU, being who she is, is that kind of person, i mean, probably she's that person who accepts anyone regardless of who and what they are. Come on, look at her army of performers, I think that's the reason why I love their group so much. And Timmy is professional enough not to mind that IMO just incase he heard it or something.

Anyway, I can't wait for my turn tomorrow!!! Yay!!

Timmy is the good guy. He is a part of Ayu's gorgeous performances. I remembered how impressed I was while listening to MOON ( CDL 11-12)and BRILLANTE ( a nation 12), the new mix by Timmy is very flawless ...
I dunno why many people hate him, he is nice at all.

I wish they could perform BRILLANTE again like PoM.

That performance is great.

However, sometimes Timmy dresses funny.

Altough I think some of his costumes are too much over the top, I can´t understand that hate for Timmy either. He seems like a very nice, joyful person, and I like such ppl.

I've said before that I'm not his biggest fan, but in no way would I ever stand in a crowd and shout or curse him out. That's incredibly rude. Just the thought of it gets me so mad. He's hardworking. He's being himself. And he does a good job at doing both. He's a nice guy, he does good music, and he does have a very good voice. All that has him fit in with Ayu's team perfectly. To be honest, nowadays I can't imagine him not being on the stage with her. xD I'm always looking for him, since he kind of stands out.

Just goes to show the world is not so different. People--anywhere, at any time, doesn't matter who, where, when, or why--can be incredibly rude and insensitive. I don't understand it. :/ It's a lot easier to be nice and, most times, you'll get a better experience.

Sometimes I think Timmy has distracting costumes but those are probably Ayu's decisions, not his so I'm not going to not like him because of that! He does seem like a sweet person, his voice works well with Ayu's and his arrangements are good too.

Anyway, Ayu sometimes forgets her own lyrics! It's going to be harder if the songs are always changing for a non-native speaker to remember them.

As someone who lived there for a long time, it doesn't surprise me at all... What is more surprising is that the people saying things like that don't even realize that it is offensive in the slightest.

While I agree, that is gradually changing over there, even the younger generation has a long way to go. Anything "other" still comes off as something slightly less than real to them unless they have themselves have spent a significant amount of time overseas. Not saying that I didn't meet some really cool people while I was over there for 5 years give or take, but honestly, no matter how much Japanese you know or how well you can fit in, foreigners are still treated differently.

Yes Japan has a very long long way to go... Actually in my experience the younger generation now is getting worse again. And I guess the long boring and intensive English lessons and the nationalism in education and on TV have something to do with it... Anyway as long as you have your own friends and place, it's great and you can ignore those people easier. But sometimes it gets really annoying.

Ayu's last vocals on the song momentum sends shivers down my spine.
Ayu did say something about it about one of her dogs, not the song itself, but when she was doing the pv, I think her efforts and pv were dedicated to a dog or she used them to announce one of her dogs were dying
