B'z Inaba Koshi to provide theme song for Tamayama Tetsuji's starring drama

B'z member Inaba Koshi will be in charge of the theme song for WOWOW's new drama "Godan", which will make its premiere on November 22.

"Godan" stars actor Tamayama Tetsuji, and its script was written by Habara Daisuke, who also wrote the script for "Massan". It's a drama adaptation of Doba Shunichi's novel of the same title that tells the story of 'Makita Takahiro' (Tamayama), a young man who works in the PR department of a pharmaceutical company.

After receiving the offer to sing the theme song, Inaba wrote a song called "Suiro". He commented, "I portrayed the protagonist who tries to live in the present with hopes for tomorrow even though he regrets the past and is afraid of losing. I am looking forward to seeing how it will be played in the drama."

Nikkei unveils their concert mobilisation power ranking for 2015

Every year popular magazine Nikkei Entertainment releases a series of Power Rankings which arrange musical artists and other celebrities according to varying different criteria such as familiarity or interest.

Keeping with tradition, the magazine's December issue contains its yearly survey on concert attendance in Japan, ranking acts based on the overall amount of people whom attended their performances over the course of the past year.

The 2015 ranking was topped by long-running pop/rock band Mr.Children, whose “REFLECTION” Arena Tour and “Mikan” Stadium Tour brought in a combined 1,119,000 concertgoers (according to overall venue capacity) over the course of 36 different dates.

Second and third place went to popular idol group ARASHI (1,035,000 attendees from 21 dates) and dance/vocal unit Sandaime J Soul Brothers (1,002,000 attendees from 21 dates) respectively.

B'z Inaba Koshi to release first solo single in over 5 years



Inaba Koshi (B'z) will release his solo single "Hane" on January 13, 2016.

The last solo single that Inaba released was "Okay" about five and a half years ago in June of 2010. "Hane" will be used as the opening theme for NTV's anime "Meitantei Conan" starting January 9. Takasaki Akira (LOUDNESS) plays the guitar in the song. Besides this song, the single will include "Suiro", "Symphony #9", and "BLEED" which is the main theme song for Playstation game "Ryu ga Gotoku".

The Limited Edition will come with a DVD or Blu-ray that contains footage from Inaba's premium live "Koshi Inaba LIVE 2014 ～en-ball～" which was held in June at Stellar Ball in Tokyo. This footage was not included in the live DVD / Blu-ray released on November 18.

In addition, Inaba will collaborate with "Ryu ga Gotoku Kiwami" for a "Ryu ga Gotoku Edition". It will come with a DVD or Blu-ray, which will include a music video of the game's first theme song "Receive You" rearranged by Inaba. It will also contain an interview between Inaba and "Ryu ga Gotoku" producer Nagoshi Toshihiro.
