i think its intentionally done to make it look more traditional and japanese. Especially in a vertical form.

Interesting. I totally didn't expect Mad World to have some stories. I think it's a waste that FLOWER was shot on one-cut. It could have had some intense scenes switching effect when she cut her hair or ripping the dress!
