I agree with this so much. I was thinking, "oh it would be nice for Ayu to do an acoustic live or something like Koda's Billboard Live!". Then I remembered that 90% of what makes her concerts worth attending these days are the obscene amount of special effects and back up performers. Her voice these days is just not for me.

Ha ha ha. Yeah because people were bored out of their asses during the stripped down TA Tours. You attend Ayu's concerts for the awesome songs, very passionate performance, better than good vocals and the splendid visual performance.

I keep going back to seeing her perform. I have seen Kumi once and will go never again. While she does have more stellar vocals, she does her fair share of screaming as well, but she lacks in the 'great songs' department. I went to the restroom at least a couple of times during the songs, cuz I was beyond bored by stuff like Winner Girls... Half of her discography are fillers. She doesn't have any less special affects nor dancers lol

Ayu's passion is her strongest point as a performer, and no matter how much stuff and people she puts on the stage, how bad she can sound sometimes, the passion is there most of the time.

You do realize that's all subjective, yeah? Nothing factual. Ayu, these days, live isn't for me, personally, which I thought I made clear. Neither of these women give a rat's ass what either of us think of their music cause they are too busy making money and being happy.

The ourselves sounds okay. I think it would sound better if it wasn't a phone video recording.
I don't see what the big wow factor is with this concerts vocals. To me she just sounds normal and more restrained. I guess that is what is amazing about it.
If this event was to be released I'm sure it would be included in some limited edition version of something anyway, something exclusive.
It is strange to have Ayu in Korea. I feel like she never had a significant impact there. When is the last time she even visited there?

I guess the fact that this event was held in Korea make this more VIP and limited hahah People needed to fly from Japan to Korea to join it. I'm not sure if the public was korean...

I recall she was at an EDM event and talked to Armin there in Korea back in like... 2013?

Also the casino is NOT a casino for Koreans as they are not allowed to go there. I believe it was a foreigner-only casino with a sizable Japanese/Chinese userbase.

Yep, it was the first Asia Song Festival. She was the Japanese representative, and she sang M + Boys & Girls.
