UVERworld to release 'Gintama' movie theme song + nationwide tour

UVERworld's new single "DECIDED" will be released on July 12.

As previously reported, "DECIDED" was written as the theme song for the upcoming 'Gintama' live-action film set to open in theatres on July 14. The single will be released in a Complete Production Edition and a Regular Edition. More details will be revealed at a later date.

In addition, UVERworld will hold a nationwide tour called 'IDEAL REALITY TOUR' starting in August. The tour will wrap up with a 2-day concert on October 3 and 4 at Nippon Budokan.

You know, I couldn't agree more. I've found the past two albums to be quite good, though. However, "PROGLUTION" to "LAST" are extremely hard to listen from beginning to end. I almost gave up on the band because of that string of three bleh albums.

^ 1st album I gave a listen of UVERworld was AwakEVE

Wow it was so difficult , it wasn't funny . They're not the 1st JRock rock that I find it hard to listen to , albums wise

Their singles are a lot more easier even though not all of them I like but when they're done right , I like them a lot

^ "AwakEVE" would've turned me off the band immediately if it were the first album of theirs I heard. lol
I do like that they've been using the sax now that the sixth member joined. The sax alone makes a lot of songs much better.

Oh yeah I agree , it's not very often you find a saxophone player in a rock group & somemore Seika used to be a temporary member before the other members decide to give him a permanent slot

I also feel that songs like CORE PRIDE , it's not necessary 1 of my favourite UVERworld song but the saxophone in the melody prevents it from being boring

Although on the topic of albums, if I had to pick my #1 most favorite one, that would go to 'PROGLUTION'. I became a fan a little before that era (in '07) so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I feel like the last single I've truly loved was "NO.1", in 2010, and since then it's been a struggle to get into some of their most recent singles - but ever since "I LOVE THE WORLD" - I've began to be pulled back into the UVERworld love - I thought "Itteki no Eikyō" was a sold single & "Emu" was beyond amazing as a b-side!

Back on topic - can't wait for "DECIDED" & "RANGE".

'IDEAL REALITY' sounds so much like an album title, and since that's the tour title, I hope we can (finally) expect a new album sometime very soon!

'Bout damn time. I'm not sure if I'm excited or not though. As we've been talking about, their albums can be a chore to get through... I'm hoping the three year wait means we get a really solid one, though.

At one point, I thought "PROGLUTION" was the best album released by them. But, over the years, I've found I just don't enjoy much of the songs, like at all. I remember everyone hating on "Shaka Beach", but that's actually my favorite song from that album. :x I dunno, but I find some of their lyrics to be so unnecessarily wordy. It's like, TAKUYA has so much he wants to say, but he just rambles on and on. I feel like their fourth and fifth albums suffer from that especially.
I wish they would release more songs similar to "Secret" or "Isseki wo Toujiru Tokyo midnight sun" from "LIFE 6 SENSE". I absolutely love what they do with that jazzy style.

UVERworld Announces 9th Studio Album "TYCOON"

UVERworld will be releasing its 9th studio album, titled "TYCOON", on August 2.

The release of the album was announced on June 6, coinciding with the band's 17th anniversary. The band was originally named Sangoku Road before breaking up in 2004 and reforming as UVERworld shortly after.

Over 50 songs were recorded during the album's production. A selection of those songs were put together to express the idea of being a "big-shot, leader, shogun".

2 versions of the album will be available upon release: a CD-Only version and a CD DVD version.

"TYCOON" will be UVERworld's first studio album in 3 years. Its last album "Ø CHOIR" was released on July 2, 2014.

Prior to the album's release, UVERworld will be releasing its 31st single "DECIDED" on July 12. The song will be used as the theme song the upcoming film "Gintama" and will be included on the album.

UVERworld To Provide Theme Song To Japanese Airing Of "Grimm"

UVERworld will be providing the ending theme song for the Japanese airing of the American series "Grimm".

The title of the song will be "Q.E.D.". It will be included on the band's upcoming album "TYCOON" which will be released on August 2.

"Q.E.D." is the first new track to be announced from the band's upcoming album. The full track list will be released at a later date.

The first season of "Grimm" will be airing on NTV starting on June 28. It originally aired on NBC during the fall of 2011.
