KAT-TUN Announces Comeback

KAT-TUN is back in 2018! The group is ending their charging period which started on May 2016 and will ‘restart’ in 2018 with the theme song to member Kamenashi Kazuya’s drama “FINAL CUT” titled “Ask Yourself”. In addition to that, the group will be holding Tokyo Dome performances in April.

The announcement was made during Johnnys Countdown 2017 -2018 held at the Tokyo Dome. Initially, only the attendance of Kamenashi was confirmed as part of “Kame to Yamapi”. Days prior, JCD teases a significant announcement to happen during the Countdown which had fans guessing.

The ‘significant announcement’ is KAT-TUN’s comeback and Kamenashi was joined by Nakamaru Yuichi and Ueda Tatsuya on stage to sing “Real Face” and the new song “Ask Yourself”.

The group entered a charging period in May 2016 after member Taguchi Junnosuke left in March of that year. KAT-TUN will continue with the remaining 3 members.

KAT-TUN to resume their activities

KAT-TUN, who have been on temporary hiatus since May of 2016, will be resuming their activities. They will sing the theme song "Ask yourself" for Kamenashi Kazuya's starring drama 'FINAL CUT' premiering on January 9.

The group made the important announcement on December 31 during 'Johnny's Countdown 2017-2018' at Tokyo Dome. The three also performed at the event for the first time in a long while. Nakamura Yuichi greeted, "Happy New Year," and Ueda Tatsuya declared, "KAT-TUN will restart in 2018," then Kamenashi announced that they will be in charge of his drama's theme song. In addition, it was announced that KAT-TUN will hold a concert at Tokyo Dome in April.

KAT-TUN went on hiatus to recharge themselves in the spring of 2016 after their dome tour. Since then, the members have been carrying out their solo activities such as starring in dramas.

Watched finished Johnny's Countdown 2017 - 2018 after I downloaded the .ts file

Tokyo Dome erupted in cheers when 3 nin KAT-TUN appeared onstage after V6's Inohara & TOKIO's Taichi introduced them cos Nakamaru + Ueda's names weren't listed on Fuji TV's website

Here's hoping Ask yourself will be released as their comeback single before they make their comeback concert performance in April
