They also have a good Ayu playlist called “Ayumi Hamasaki - next steps” with some of the greats that were a bit less popular than the “essentials”!!

I love Ayu but what's with the editor's description? "belter"? "R&B tinged songs"? "impossible-to-ignore voice"?

Those things don't make me think of Ayumi.

I do love seeing Ayu playlists though!

I would agree that she has a massive voice. Yes, not like a Whitney Houston or something, but it's massive because it's so emotive and full.

I agree with this, too. I think she does have a massive voice, as in extremely strong.

Exactly, her voice is one of the things that made her famous along with her lyrics, not because of her technical skill but because of her emotional expression. I think that's what massive means in this context.

Too many old songs in that list, it's more like "Ayumi Hamasaki Essentials 1999-2002". Newer songs like Love song deserved a spot there. And what is LOVE~since 1999~ doing there?
