Literally the end of an era with Namie

Also, her dancers (who now go by the NFam) had a big NAMIE PARTY in Shinjuku last weekend!

It's honestly so endearing how much they all truly love her.

Do you think they will release the Hulu documentary as part of a giant Namie collection set or will it just be erased from history? Namie is really going all in on this disappearing thing..

Questions about these dancers..

Are they still working? Are they unemployed?

I don't know what they are doing, but after her retirement, these dancers' career seem unclear to me.

I think a lot of professional dancers in general are pretty much self-employed when they aren't actively touring or working with a music artist. Often when you go to their Twitters and Instagrams, you'll find a lot of promotion for dance workshops and dance camps and other events that they hold.

I imagine it's a pretty sustainable living, especially with their reputation as Namie's dancers. Tadashi in particular even owns his own dance studio!

recently just watched namie's LS2006, i never know there is a bluray version until i found out recently, before that i only heard the audio rip or watched LQ dvd-rip clips.

i like this show, even her vocal not that best, the stage is simple, and she didn't dance crazyly like recent tours. but i like her energy, and the song choice is amazing....

i like in this show she sang new single, hits, ballad, side track, rare track, and b-sides. i know her since PLAY era, so i never know her older song, esp those she never perform or include in best album. this show gimme impact like her's LS2011 or ayu's PCDL.

OMG, I just re-watched LS 2006 too (also the Blu-ray version)! I totally forgot she had a live band on this tour so that was a very pleasant surprise!

I agree, the song choice was great. So many songs that she doesn't normally do like Fish, Exist For You, Lovin' It, No More Tears. I really enjoyed the Body Feels Exit performance too.

It was also nice to hear the "normal" version of Chase the Chance. I'm now re-watching the 25th anniversary live and forgot what a good concert this was! I initially watched it not long after she retired but I find now I'm enjoying it more! What a setlist - all those 90s songs!

I figure I'm gonna do a bit of Blu-ray order at some point this year (when BoA and L'Arc announce their Xmas Live releases or Hikki announces the Laughter in the Dark Tour release) so I was wondering which Namie concert should I buy next? I have Live Style 2006, Past<Future, Live Style 2014, 20th Anniversary Dome Tour and Finally Tour.

About LiveStyle 2006: I hate her outfits SO MUCH but the setlist is incredible. Thanks to it I got STROBE as one of my fave Namie tracks ever.. and her jazz-esque moves are soooo good

About what you should by next hm.. SO CRAZY Tour!! It will always be my fave Namie tour ever... it's her dancing skills at its peak, she looks really cute and the setlist is really good. And once you have LS2006 and 2014, you should try LiveStyle 2011.. it's pretty good. And FEEL Tour, LIVEGENIC or LiveStyle 2016-2017.. her energy is amazing on both (way waaaaay better than it was on LS2014)

^ Yes! It's an excellent show. I really like how they extended S19B out a little bit, and they changed up the arrangement a little for CYC. And when she made some mistakes in the songs, for me it made it better because it added a human element to it that you don't really get to see with edited concerts on dvd.

I've spent an entire today filling in the gaps of my Namie discography. How did I not make sure I had Love Enhanced in my collection before!? LOVE 2000 is my guilty pleasure and the Love Enhanced version is all sorts of over produced early 00s pop and I'm loving it. So glad that even though I've followed her for over a decade I left some things undiscovered to enjoy in her retirement!

Namie is going to be featured in Kose's Beauty Book. She will have 34 pages!
Her section is titled: Following Namie Amuro's make-up: Make-up transition ~ALL TIME BEST~

I'm sure Avex will release EVERYTHING as long as they have rights to do so, the problem is when... we have MANY things to be released for example CDTV (the music show) releases the complete live videography of artists featured on their show (A DVD with all the CDTV lives on it), it's pretty cool, can't wait for Namie's one to be released

I see the Hulu documentary being released as bonus material in a complete live boxset

I follow one of her dancers (YUU/yuuki? She has really curly hair and was the one who stood out the most to me as Namies backup dancer) as of right now, I know with her, she lives in LA and is currently a backup dancer for Nicki Minaj and Gwen’s Stefani.

Good point. And Avex would never pass up an opportunity to make a few bucks. (Win-win situation for everyone). Will it be affordable...that’s a different question. I never bought Ayu’s PV collection because it’s super expensive.
