Popping in as a non-ARASHI fan here.

I happened to chance upon the ARASHI docu series while browsing Netflix and watched the first episode (I'm assuming it'll be released weekly) and I have to say I'm quite keen to watch the entire series as it comes out. It seems very introspective and you get to see the members reflecting very seriously. So serious, in fact, that it can come off as pretty sombre. Though I have to say, I feel like the editing in the first episode feels very choppy and rushed. Perhaps they wanted to squeeze a lot of different contents into the first episode to give the viewers a context as to how much of a whirlwind it has been right before and right after the hiatus announcement. However, that choppiness carried on to their individual interviews which can be a lil bit annoying. That said, I really enjoy seeing this personal side of the ARASHI members and I'm excited to see the rest.

Regarding ARASHI’S Diary -Voyage- , the 1st episode was released on Netflix worldwide yesterday & a new episode will be released on a monthly basis , not a weekly basis until their impending hiatus end of 2020

Already the choice of words Netflix decided to use for the ARASHI’S Diary -Voyage- trailer is quite depressing :s

ARASHI worked their butts out for the almost 3 decades being in show business , it's no wonder they feel burnt out especially Ohno which he did said back when they celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2009

Ohno this year will turn 40 and he said before he longed to do things that a normal person would be able to do which he couldn't

Perhaps that's 1 of the reasons why Johnnys like to come here for private vacation as they wouldn't be hounded relentlessly by the press

When Sakurai came here years ago to do promo for the Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de movie , he went to Little India and explored the place like what a typical tourist would do

And amazingly nobody recognised Sakurai & even if they did , they leave him be as it's , he can't do that in Japan :s

Yeah, I was not a fan of the production style. The editing felt amateurish. And I know this documentary is primarily being aimed at Netflix Japan users who are already familiar with the group, but with such a worldwide platform, I would have expected them to put more effort into making it accessible to people who have no idea who this band is. It really just drops you right into it with very little explanation of anything and just assumes you are familiar with the band.

Considering it was only the 1st episode ARASHI's Diary -Voyage- aired on the last day of 2019 , maybe the other future episodes will be more better edited & put together

My sister is not willing to watch ARASHI's Diary -Voyage- for now cos she said she might cry cos her friend already did so when she watched it :x

^ I think the autotune is to help improve their English. Even still though, mispronunciation is obvious through the autotune.
