All covers are disappointing to be honest. You can barely see the JAPONESQUE name on it. They could, at least, use an outtake picture, and even the "old ones" were already used for the Karaoke Rooms.

I don't know what happened to her design team, from DNA Tour onwards everything was kinda of a miss imo.

UNIVERSE is still 1 of my least favourite Kuu albums but I still loved both PVs she made

Also for the re(LIVE) video covers , I'm sure Kuu shot tons of photos during the shooting and she could used other photos that weren't made known :s

the text is worst on the limited editions (I mean, really? generic white font superimposed over the beautiful photo??) also, I think the limited editions should compliment each other. for sure the water tank opening to BC is a highlight, but it is better as a poster than a cover imo)

japonesque covers are the best <3
although it would be nice to have pictures that we haven't seen a million times over. kuu should hire me as her designer, I just can't with all these wasted opportunities T___T

She is not working with united lounge tokyo anymore (their last items were BSC DVD/LIT~HUSH~NEVER ENOUGH), so this is one of the reasons for the creative graphic change, I guess.

I also wanna know they the new uploads from HD pvs are not as sharp as they can be. Avex had already upload ESCALATE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YlDy5C2mRs), Brave (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ7yOPpjf00) and others from JAPONESQUE and they are in better quality. Just weird decisions.

Changing topics a little but: I was watching Celine Dion's concert from this year and they had a drone effect that I can really see Kumi doing, using as lights (or fireflies if you really think about).

I like the regular DVD covers the better, and I'm very disappointed at the limited ones, the typography alignment makes no sense at all. And in all version I don't really like the "sticker" they added to it. And I think JAPONESQUE covers are better overall, the blue TVs fit both outfits pretty well. Wish I was rich so I could get both lol

A pity CWGB wasn't uploaded, just like feel Wonder why that happened. feel has a small chance of being uploaded on the second session anniversary, who knows? Hope Love goes like... is uploaded as well!

Unrelated topic: This is turning out to be quite the thread for anyone looking for Kuu's PVs. I already have a (relatively small) collection saved on my system, but based on this thread, I'm refreshing just about the entire thing. Very nice...

it's better to have the up scaled PVs than they making A complet best of a bunch of upscaled PVs so they can suck the rest of our money. (knock on wood that they don't make it haha) So I'm happy that at least we have the full Pvs.

Yeah only a short PV was made for Star which was the 2nd A-side alongside Promise

A real shame though cos Star was & is still really good . Would have love a full PV for it instead of a short version

I actually like all the covers, but they managed to choose silver font on silvery background and golden font on golden background which kinda blends in. I like the Limited Covers tho - they have a certain vibe I dig.

I was looking for some Akina Nakamori related stuff and came across some screenshots Corvina posted back in April about a playlist that Kumi made for AWA. It had Akina's DESIRE in it but also... Hiromi Go's GOLDFINGER '99 She was giving us some tips lol And she said reCORD was originally going to be a cover album, now I wonder if those songs from the playlist were being considered for the project.

Also, this made me remember when in 2010 for a magazine interview about favorite summer songs she mentioned COMPLEX's BE MY BABY and a couple of months later we got it on ETERNITY.

Kuu talked about it in interviews already - she's only covering songs she herself loves and is regularly listening to.

Choosing silver with silver and gold with gold is the better choice than mixing them.
On the actual product the fonts will be printed in gold and silver, so there won't be a problem reading them against the picture background.

Don't know if you guys noticed, but on the Blu-Ray covers are re(LIVE) shots on the TV screens while she's wearing the old outfits (and the DVDs vice versa of course).

Even tho we don't have the info yet, considering the covers I'm pretty sure the photobooks will be divided for the special editions - Black Cherry re(LIVE) only for the Loppi/HMV one, JAPONESQUE re(LIVE) only for the FC edition.
Wonder what else will be different or if cover and photobooks are going to be the only things.
I've already started to save for it in December anyway, hahaha.

Well, we see if it's going to see the light of day any time soon.

There's something I noticed when I preordered the re(LIVE) Blu-rays.
A lot of other artists are selling their concert Blu-rays for a higher price.
For example
Ayu's last costs 7,300 Yen
Ai Otsuka's last costs 7,800 Yen
BoA's last costs 7,000 Yen
Even LiSA's upcoming Blu-Ray costs 8,000 Yen.
Regular edition for all.

Only Blu-rays I saw in my quick check being cheaper than Kuu's are from popular idol or rock bands (like Johnny's or Bz).
So Kuu's is actually reasonably priced with 6,200 Yen.
Interesting to see.
