Ayu Songs => PV
Okay, I'm kind of shady on this subject so I'm going to ask the Ayu community. YAY!
Okay, I know that most of her singles undergo the PV treatment, but does this mean that its usually only the A-side of the single that is "PV'd?" Because with INSPIRE/GAME it was a weird twist of things, and I'm wondering whether or not About You and "walking proud" will get their own PVs..and do album tracks ever get PVs on their own, regardless if they were on a single or not? Thank you! ![]() Zeo

I'll give you a short and accurate answer.
There is no set rule to it. And yes, album tracks can get their own PVs, eg. ANGEL'S SONG, Because of You On most occasions the song as the A-side on a single gets one. However, there are cases: - Where an A-side doesn't get a PV. - B-side gets a PV and A-side doesn't - Some A sides on a single gets a PV but others doesn't. - Album song getting a PV and a single not. - A single without any PV Anything's possible really. |

Yea but the biggest exception of all is the single "A"... It contains 4 new songs and 0 new PVs....

As far as I know, A-sides will usually get the PV treatment. She actually doesn't have that many B-sides unfortunately. As far as INSPIRE/GAME, wasn't that a double A-side single? So that probably explains why both had PVs made.
And I don't think About You or walking proud will get a PV. I think they're only for commercials like everywhere nowhere and WE WISH. My guess is that she'll have a PV from an album track to promote her new album. And yes, album tracks do get PVs of their own: Connected, Real Me, RAINBOW. Hope that helped. ^^; Edit: Wow...didn't realize it took me that long to type this. I should get to bed... XD |

that's true! a lot of times the B-sides are just remixes and the instrumental track of the song. but then again sometimes it's the remixed version that gets the PV and not the original (ie kanariya, daybreak) haha ayu doesn't follow any set rules

Yeah...they seem to do whatever they want! Unite! and Never Ever were both singles, but neither got a PV. Then we have Rainbow and Real me among others that are on the album only but still got a PV. Then there are singles like Inspire, where both songs get a PV. It's just...crazy!

and b-side is usually called 'coupling song' i.e poker face single: a-side: poker face b-side: FRIEND LOVE ~Destiny~ single: a-side: LOVE ~Destiny~ b-side: LOVE ~since 1999~ there usually is a PV for a-sides in the case of INSPIRE, which contains INSPIRE & GAME [and both of them have PVs], this kind of single is called a 'double-a-side' single i hope this helps |
