question about Grammy Awards

oh.... this person at some other jpop forum was saying that Beyonce was more talented than ayu cause she had won grammys and the only awards ayu had won were the mtv
this is what the guy or girl said

Beyonce = write her own music & lyric, good dancer, producer, won grammIES for her solo album. sold million copies of her solo album and her group's.

ayumi = write her own lyrics, other than won mtv asia award and japan award (for her record sellings), i cant think of any awards that she's got for her actual music, not because of her records or popularity

she's nothing comparing to beyonce.. and plus beyonce is original which is something that Ayumi is not

but larisa just said what i wanted to know really about how the grammys work

Grammy awards always go out to mainstream artists and you NEED to be popular or no one will vote for you because they've never heard of you. And a lot of popular artists lack talent, so... I don't like the Grammys =P
