Who designed the 'A' sign for Ayu

I thought that the original idea was for it to look like the pi symbol.

that "A" looks quite like the a of the single, not of the symbol...

Actually I read somewhere that Ayu designed the first A & it WAS supposed to look like a pi symbol ------>
But later she called some graphic designers to improve it & this was the result. ----->
