Hehe, ok, well, Singapore only has a population of around 4 million people, so 10 000 is already consider super good. It's roughly proportional to the sales in Japan as well!

Anyway, haha, I didn't see the article too. But yar, I agree, Otsuka Ai is coming up!

Lol, how dare they cover Ayu's MY STORY with LOVE JAM! But still, I love both albums, just that I love Ayu's more because it deals with things in a much more mature way through her lyrics.

Ai ... she's not exactly there yet, she still has to keep trying and Avex sort of screwed it up for her too ... an 11 track album, c'mon, it's once more again due to the bad schedule and the need to get money quickly that they made Ai release her album.

Still, thanks for the scan!

I dislike how local newspapers butcher names. The other time some idiot from the Straits Times tried to review Jihen's "kyouiku", they misspelled Ringo's name as Shino Ringo and credited the album to "Shino Ringo & Tokyo Jihen", even going so far as to label Jihen her backing band. Get your bloody facts correct, people.

And Oni did not bow out, she was kicked out of Toshiba-EMI by the management last year and returned in October with "sodatsu zassou".

Call me banal if you want but it irks the hell out of me when they can't get the small details right. And I'd say more about their choice of music, but I guess I've ranted enough.

i am afraid that's not true

in hong kong, one platinum is 20,000 copies for foreign albums, and 30,000 for a chinese album. 10,000 isnt even a platinum yet.
and the german pop band 'trademark' sold 2x platinum with their debut album in hong kong.

so selling 10,000 isnt so good in hong kong
