[project] JPOP MARKETING

in school everyone are going to do some kind of project, and I'm going to, try at least, to market j-pop music here in Umeå where I live.
and for that I need some advices on how to do it... how to reach people that never heard j-pop before.
on top of that I have limited resources, so like, TV-commercials are out of question.
how to reach and make people interested by reading about it...

I appreciate every advice I can get.

Maybe write an article about how Japanese musics are more unique than the other musics? You can put Ayu's pic there as well just to promote her pretty face lol...

I would try to arouse interest by linking Japanese pop music to things that people in your city associate with Japan, like sushi, sumo, anime, etc.

you could also include something about how all the performances are LIVE and NOT lip-synched

oh and how there's a lot of diversity in the singing styles of the popular singers

in what way do you mean it is different?

by the homogenity of tastes? by the cost of an album?
