Probably something from an anime in the early 90s. Then after that probably the OP 'La La La Love Song' from the drama 'Long Vacation'.

First Ayu song, appears.

Memories Of Life - Emiko Shiratori (I think that was the name ^^; It's the theme to Final Fantasy IX, but I actually heard the Japanese version first)

First Ayu song...same for me as a LOT of others: evolution!

First J-pop:Utada Hikaru's Hikari (PlanitB Remix/Simple & Clean) and if that doesn't count it'd probably be Dream's My Will from the Inuyasha end credits.

First Ayumi Hamasaki:No more words, downloaded on Kazaa after I realized the pattern that Inuyasha had good OP/ED Themes so I searched Inuyasha and found this...

Voyage.

My first non-Ayu song was "Wishing on the same star," by Namie Amuro.

First Ayu: Dearest or no more words, I was downloading Inuyasha themes and don't remember which I listened to first.

Funny story....my sister had a japanese pen pal and she sent over Boys&Girls single....too which I was totally oblivious to who this ayumi hamasaki was.

But the first ever song I heard was probably evolution followed by the slow remix of boys&girls........and now that I know who Ayu is I kinda regret pulling the Boys&Girls CD and paper innards and throwing it around :O  BUT I've found the single again and now I just need to find the front cover.

Wow, J-Pop song...*Tries to remember it*...Anime themes count, right? Hmm probably...Something from BSSM or Gundam X (I think the band was Romantic Mode)
My first Ayu was SURREAL, I heard it on a Japanese radio station at my friends house and fell in love, lol, after that I was addicted to Ayu

First JPop Song:
YATTA! (Happatai) Lol, probably not the song that got me into Japanese music, but it's definitely the first I heard.

First Ayumi Song:
Not quite sure, I think Fly high or something. Maybe evolution. I don't remember...
