I agree... Your story was quite interesting (not in a bad way)... about the whole American music being in Japan. I wish it was the other way around

hmm..i think avex will still focus on singer in japan only
I'm sure she's Japanese. But she's half. Some singers can be half, because their dad is Japanese and has the last name.

in the US for sure , but are you sure this applies in Japan as well ? I doubt a foreigner would have much luck trying to sue a company in japan because of discrimination and etc ....

anyway , Origa has released several albums and she's a russian white woman & sings in japanese. I don't think she's on Avex tho.

I think Beni's music career has much to do with her supposed potential in advertising & etc for being somesort of beauty contest winner (?) . Didn't she become the next Kosé spokesperson right away ? Her music isn't so good ....

In case you forgot, BoA is, by race, Korean, so technically she counts as a non-japanese singer signed under Avex.

Many European producers and composers are under Avex's trance and eurobeat umbrellas. One could note some of these artists by following nmskalmn's links.

Yeah, but that's by default. She was originally signed by SM Entertainment in Korea. Avex and SM are sister companies, so she's simply handled by Avex for her business in Japan. Basically, if you get into one company, you're automatically in the other. There's certainly a screening process, but by that point it's not about race or talent, it's about sales figures.

Plus, she's still Asian. Korean is a nationality, not a race. Asian stars swap countries all the time these days.

Thank you, took the words right out of my mouth.
She's still asian...
Not to be mean or anything but most of the people you'll are singing are half asian.
I guess there's nobody who's NOT asian who sings in japanese huh? *sighs*
And Olivia was born in japan...
So olivia is the only one I know, but she was born in japan so I don't think it would really count, but does jade have a record deal with avex?, because Jade is German right?
