!! thats so mean! Well, i think she's pretty good. And "Whenever Wherever" was the reason i bought one of her Albums (Laundry Service)
But sometimes i wish i wouldv'e discovered Ayu a long time ago...having to settle on Britney Spears for that long? XP ewww. Then i got Shakira, and then i gave up on music, and the good ol' Ayu came to the rescue!! and got me back into music <3

^by 'saturating the airways' I mean she'll be heard everywhere we go, on tv radio etc... her fijacion oral v.1 got some play in english speaking countries, but with her English album I bet the hype will be bigger than LS

Ughh...me neither...
I can't stand her singing in english...

So Fijación Oral is like a gift for us, spanish-speaker fans...
I love her two first albums!! Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones...
Her songwriting skills are incredible, the best i've ever seen along with Ayu's...
(i can only compare Ayu to Shakira's lyrics...does somebody feels the same??)

Her MTV Unplugged is also a must-see... If u haven't see it you don't what you're missing...

No option for "I think she's pretty good"? Yeeeeeeeeeeeesh.

I like her. Don't think she's great, contrary to my vote, don't think she's nothing special (can't people put up better options for polls? Jesus). I'm really mainly into her English music - don't care for her Spanish music, since for some reason, Spanish is a language I cannot listen to in music. It makes me feel cold and empty, makes the music feel cold and empty... or maybe it's just the music?

Loved Laundry Service and Oral Fixation, vol. 2, though.

She does have an intersting voice, but I've always liked her since the release of Laundry Service. I own Grandes Exitos (Greatest Hits) and it's a relatively good album. I like about half of her old Spanish material. Most of her Spanish material that I like is from Donde Estan Los Ladrones, and there are a select few from Fijacion Oral: Vol. 1. I do really like her English stuff, such as Oral Fixation: Vol. 2. My favorite songs off that album are probably Don't Bother, Animal City, Timor, and Costume Makes the Clown. Hips Don't Lie was a great song until it was just ridiculously overplayed on the radio.

Yeah, No was a little like Heaven. All slow movements in black and white. I love the No ending, it's quite sad.

I used to like her when objection and whenever, wherever came out. Now she`s just annoying. I don`t like her. And she totally stole that song "Dance like this" or something from that movie "Dirty Dancing Havannah Nights". That song and that movie came out before Shakira`s album.
