That has to be the most ignorant and rude thing I have ever read on this forum.

So what if people over anazlyze her PV's? It's their choice to do so, She may be as dumb as a rock as you claim but she's doing way better than you

I also believe the PV had something to do with friendship.

I think in the PV, Ayu is having excellent fun in this great, wonderful paradise when the fire starts. When all hell breaks lose, Ayu can't accept that her fun days are over, and she looks at the fire burning away her wonderful memories and she refuses to budge.

Then there's that part where she's having fun in the waterfall all by herself. I assume that she clung to the joyful memories so hard that she refused to get out of the fire and died?

*shrug*

[Edit] And in response to LX Ayu's comment about how Ayu is "dumb as a rock"...
I get that Ayu isn't a scholarly person, but that doesn't mean she's dumb.

In fact, I think Ayu is very smart. She's smart in her own way, and her smarts fit her career, and that's just about as smart as you can get.

My thoughts on this PV:

1.Ayu is having fun in this wonderful place with her friends, she thinks this place is perfect but when the fire started, she realized that there is no "perfect" in the world, she didnt want to leave and died in the fire, then the waterfall thing means that shes forgiving herself? I donno...(seem unlikely)

or

2.The whole PV is a dream, she fell asleep in the waterfall and dreamt being on an beautiful island having fun with all her friends, and the fire that happened might symbolize something that broke their friendship, and thats when she wakes up? meh...

or there isnt a deeper meaning at all and I'm just silly

I agree with most of your thoughts on this PV, especially nyonyo's comment.
Maybe childhood means you are young and have less expectation? When the fire burned, yes her friends did try to drag her away but she just stood there because it's bad that all their fun and good times are being burned away by fire. I guess when she's in the river, she realises that her memories can now be kept inside her forever and that it is time to build on new ones. [I'm bad at analyzing stuff.. it's just what I think and what I see..]

Now to LX Ayu's comment?
If you admit that you're Ayumi's fan and you defend her at times.. read what you just typed back there. You totally contradicted the position you're standing at. If you think ayu is as dumb as a rock.. rocks have no brains? Everything she own and all the money she made through these years were all by her knowledge and intelligence. If you compare her to a rock.. I'm pretty sure rocks don't have a brain? not to mention knowledge and intelligence. If she didn't have the intelligence and knowledge to write her songs and such.. she wouldn't have be rich... she probably would've just been a normal japanese girl or a normal model. Not all college students are smart you know....

=x it's like the simplest pv ever, and people are writing kind of long things about it? ha ha ha!

I cant read all the things everyone else said but I think to sum it up, "all good things must come to an end," and that is what the pv is about.
