Have you made any family members fans of Ayumi?

I have turned a lot of my friends onto Ayumi's music and created a lot of new fans of hers. But I was wondering if any of your family members (siblings, cousins, parents) have come to like her because of you? My little sister has really started to like her and she is now obsessed with "Bold & Delicious"! I got my cousin hooked on her when "Moments" was first released as a single and I played it a lot at her house and she would laugh but then she really started to like it and that is like her favorite Ayumi song, along with "Because of You"...

well my brother listens to Ayu occasionally ever since I started listening to her music whenever I could (car, his cd player, mp3 player, etc.)
but he's not like a fan of hers and I can pretty much tell that none of my friends would like her music (most are into rock, black music or similar), though maybe I could change their mind if I showed them some lives... hmm

Whenever I listen to Ayu, my parents get annoyed and tell me what bad music it is. (only because they don't understand it)

My sister can recognise a few of Ayumi's songs, so that's OK. I try not to force it on her.

Same here.

Actually my brother started off as the Jpop fan, so myself, my older sister and my mum were already familiarized. Then he stopped and I followed on. I converted my younger sister (and my 8 year old sister recognises some songs too!) and my mum ^_^. My mum likes to tease me about it actually So basically everyone in my family except for my dad knows about Ayumi and her songs. Utada too.

Also one of my best friend is a best friend because of Jpop too He also likes Ayu along with BoA and Ostuka. I have converted 2 or more friends...

Yep! "Moments" is such a great song! Many american people seem to like it because that was the song that started my cousin to like Ayumi, my Best Friend, another friend of mine (although she like Ayu already and I burned her "Moments" and she was like "THAT IS SUCH A GOOD SONG!"), and my little sister!

No family members, and I don't think it'll happen. Though I do catch my brother to be humming Free & Easy.

One of my friends is a huge fan of Inuyasha (no other animes, really) and she likes the songs (probably Shinjitsu no Uta by Do As Infinity the most). But I've showed her many of Ayu's songs since she already sang Dearest and no more words, and she likes her songs. *squee* lol

The friend I mentioned above that was into Ayu already and I gave her a "Moments" CD was a Inuyasha fan as well and that is how she knew Ayu in the first place!

actually, I converted one of my friends into someone pretty hardcore through the "my name's WOMEN" PV... ;]. I'm also getting my other friends into her as well... so far, I'm transisting about 4 or so into her. lol. this is awesome~!

My family actually listens to pre RAINBOW stuff... the most recent song is Voyage to them... lol. But I find that fine, they turned me on to A LOT of artists.

My mother, and she's really the only one. She likes Ayu's more upbeat songs (her favorite is Real me) so I burned her a special copy of most of Ayu's upbeat songs for her car. My friends are REALLY tricky. After five years they've finally stopped making fun of me for listening to Japanese music in the first place. Although my one friend who has started studying Japanese with me was really interested, so I burned her a various artist CD, the first song being STEP you. She listens to it over and over.

Bah. No.

My mother can recognise Moments, Fly high and Bold & Delicious VERY distinctly, though.

I got my Sister into her and some of my friends. Funny thing yesterday my friends and I were looking for a apartment since we have to start college soon. And these guys that was with us were like "Oh Boy! Moving in with Akurei you going be listening to the Asian wastashu crap". And my friends replied but we like the Asian music.

I felt so proud

My mom and bro like Ayumi and miyavi (bro likes even Gackt, Namie, W, Morning Musume, BoA, Koda Kumi) - because of me of course.
They come to my room every day and want me to play them new videos from pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~. artists. I made my best friend to love every artist I love so we're drooling together 'cause of miyavi, dancing with BoA, singing with Ayu, laughing with Gackt.. I'm really happy!
My whole class listen to miyavi because of my research paper, photos and music I played there.
And I made into j-pop lots of my online friends.

Maybe I have a talent
