Annoying thing with HANABI

First of all, Hanabi is one of my favorite Ayu ballads, i really love it!

But don't you agree that it would sound so much better if they had some really heavy electric guitars playing when she sings the refrain? Like they did on ASFXX on a-ballads... I think it would sound much more powerfull this way...
Nevertheless, Hanabi is a beautiful song, but it sounds a little hollow, like something is missing...Must be the guitars

Have you seem some live concerts on HANABI? When the }{ single was about to be released there were a few concerts before that featured HANABI and at the end they played an amazing emotional guitar solo. I was really amazed at how the song would turn out but when the original version came out I was quite deceived because there were absolutely no guitar solo. I've got used with that though...

I've never heard HANABI with an electric guitar, but now that you mentioned it, it would sound nice. =)

It sounds better without the guitars.

Maybe if she ever releases another A BEST, they should add the guitar solo, because I also love the solo. Then if you listen to the album version, I think the whole thing sounds awesome.. yet I think the guitar solo gives it an extra depressing kick.

The solo at the end is beautiful, but I'm glad the recording isn't so intense. I like "HANABI" nice and quiet. I wouldn't at all object to a re-recording that reflected the live version, though. Both are great.

Yeah, the guitar part was really awesome. Yoshio rocks.
I hated HANABI when it first came out, I didn't think it fit with independent and July 1st. But I got used to it, now it's one of my favorite ballads. I love it a lot more than HANABI ~episode II~, even though that one's louder and her vocals are better.

I think I like HANABI the way it is. The vocals are what really display the emotion in the song for me. I wouldn't want the music to cover that up.

Arrow YSI link available!

Yeah, the guitar solo in Stadium Tour just really brought out the ballad in HANABI for me. After I watched the clip of it I realized that it was more of a ballad than I thought it was. I guess when I saw it was in the tracklist in A BALLADS, I didn't think it was so much as a ballad (like 'M' until I heard "HAL's Progress"). But after the dancers and guitars, I just loved it.

FuNsTyLe, or anyone else that'd like to see it, here's a link to the clip. Enjoy. http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2...Q3GIJLIFLEROK1 (Note this is a .mpeg file)

I like both versions, with and without the guitar solo.

its great live, but guitars take away from the depression of the song, imo.
