Ayu unplugged

I love all the concerts Ayu gives, but I still miss a simple one:

Why doesn't she give an unplugged concert without many dancers or special effects?

She has a great voice and I'm shure, she could do this. Beside I think, less is more sometimes. And her last concerts were full withe effects and booms ^^; so it would be something different.....

So, please God, let it be and let her come unplugged to us!!!

Well, the Limited Team Ayu Tour was smaller. Just 2 dancers, her band and her on a small stage with limited crowd, no special effects and such ^^ it was really nice IMO

i would like to see Ayu on Stadium Tour with a few dancers hehe, but it would be sooo tiring for Ayu because she will have to entertain us and walk right, left, up and down alot!!

hmmm, i really like her concerts... I don't think she should give just an unplugged concert... it wouldn't seel as much... she is know for being a great performer... perhaps a special unplugged section like she did in her Arena Tour 2002

Ayumi did an acoustic concert in 1999/2000, prior to her hitting it really big.

(I forget which year it was, I think Delirium knows. Too lazy and medicated to look for the magazine article where it says so. ^^;

I agree. The huge concerts are great, but I'd love it if she did like a one night only live at Bodukan and she can perform some of her lesser known songs like Scar, Key, Heartplace etc.

I'd love an unplugged concert. A simple concert would be nice for a change. Not that I'm saying I don't like her extravagant concerts...^_^

The ever-elusive "UC Card presents Acoustic Live Limited Stage, 2000 Winter" show, december 9th 2000. ^^ She sang "SCAR" actually, so SunshineSlayer, she has sung it live at least that once. This was the set list:

01 TO BE
02 YOU
03 SCAR
04 LOVE~Destiny~
05 teddy bear
06 Key ~eternal tie ver.~
07 SEASONS
08 A Song for XX
Encore
01 M
02 girlish

Unfortunately, as far as i know, there was never any sort of broadcast, download, or even video bootleg available for the show, which is sad. But Ayu has mentioned in interviews that she'd like to do this sort of intimate set again, so there may yet be hope!

Unplugged show are amazing when you are there, watching Ayu singing. But it's boring if you buy the DVD. Sometime, I get a bit bored watching her extravagant concerts. Imagine a whole unplugged concert??..

But if it's released as a CD, I'll buy it right away.

Yep, I knew that. It would be nice if she sang some of those songs again though.

If the performance itself is captivating, that is all that matters. Many of her best performances have been durring a scaled back setting (no water effects, super eloborate costumes etc) - performances of Teddy Bear, Memorial Address, Heartplace, and A Song For Xx are some of her most memorable lives because the performances were great and heartfelt.

The last time I remember her mentioning wanting to do something similar to the acoustic set was back in 2001. And even then, she said that she'd like to do something in a more intimate setting. She didn't specify wanting to do another acoustic. I don't know how much hope there is of an acoustic concert anytime soon because Ayumi is getting increasingly showy.
