I can't really say who is underrated in Western music...since I don't really listen to much of it nowadays. Have to agree with a few of the previous comments about Natalie Imbruglia, though. Although I think I had her album at one point...[or I think my sister had her album? Haha I don't remember..]. I'm not sure if many people know of Josh Groban? He's an excellent singer; went to one of his concerts a few years back.

I LOVE LAURA!!!!!! She was pretty popular here since she released "La Soledad", her singles are always topping the charts here, and now that she's back with "Escucha" she's topping everything again!!!!

I dunno if she's underrated cuz here she has a big fanbase, and i agree that Natalie is like, VERY underrated. Her new album is wonderful!!! Wish she could get more promotion like in the "Torn" days.

I guess I really need to listen to more Natalie and Anastacia because everyone seems to love them. As for mine...

Stacie Orrico: She just has such an amazing voice for someone so young. It's a shame that she was just kind of a two hit wonder.

Emma Bunton: A lot of my friends can't take her seriously because she was a Spice Girl (and I did obsess over them) but Free Me was a surprisingly good album.

MISIA (J-Pop): Her voice is absolutely amazing. I have her Singer for Singer CD and one of her Concert DVDs and she really just blows me away. I actually found out about her through her singing the opening song in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.

King's X. They are an awesome band from Texas. They've been playing for over 20 years and never really gotten their break. They are truly amazing, and honestly there is no reason they shouldn't be the biggest band in the world. They have great songs, tight musicianship, and put on an excellent show.

Yep.. Not many people knew that she released I Promise, which I think was even better than the first two songs put together and multiplied by 20.

I agree with everybody who said Natalie Imbruglia is underrated. Most people only know her as the girl who saing 'Torn', but she has alot of other great songs too. I ♥ her song 'Satellite'! I think Maria Mena is underrated as well as Relient K and Frou Frou

I also agree about Natalie.
I haven't heard many of her songs, but I can tell she's talented from the ones I have heard. Just me saying I haven't heard many songs is enough to say that she's that underrated.

You know Laura Pausini!! Im glad ^_^
I agree about the voice but some of her songs are a boring -.-
She won an award this year, dont remember which one but she is the first italian singer who got it and she was very very happy, even our president Ciampi congrats with her ^_^
I would like to add Eros Ramazzotti too, he is a very good artist (he made a song with Anastacia this year the title is I belong to you ^^)
I agree with Natalia Imbruglia I love her and I also agree with Linkin' Park, Hitomi Shimatani and Misia ^^ I would add U-ka Saegusa in DB and Nami Tamaki too ^^

^ Laura Pausini & Eros Ramazzotti & El Divo and other italian artists are really popular in northern europe too. I think sales-wise they're like top10 material here , I'm not inot thier music myself tho.
