Gaze at the Orange Sunset in the HALCALI Official Thread

I really like halcali, they have a cool style. I have all their albums, and I almost like all their songs, but i've actually ask every japanese person who rode in my car if they understand what the heck their songs are about, and noone knew, and one asked me if it was Hindu language -_-

i just find it funny.

So do you guy have like any translation of their songs, I really would like to know what their songs are all about.

I love HALCALI

They're my favourite (not really...but you know )

Apparently they've performed a new song called Twinkle Star recently.
New single perhaps?

I haven't heard anything new of theirs since Halcali Bacon came out ^^;; I stopped following jpop for awhile after that, so.

I like Stylee Stylee (or Stylish Stylish), Electric Sensei, and Halcalism alot though.

HALCALI is an interesting duo; does anybody else think they're a mix of Heartsdales / Puffy [AmiYumi]/ Orange Range? Those are the three groups HALCALI reminds me of ^^;

But anyway, they're cute and their style is somewhat unique. The PVs are insanely random...haha.

Definately Densetsu no Futari on their second album (Ongaku no Susume) reminds me of Puffy. The style of the song, and even their voices sound so much like Puffy I bet you could slap it on a Puffy disc and not notice the difference. It's kinda freaky actually......

I've not listened to Orange Range though...so I don't know.
And the first couple if pictures that Sony put out of the girls bore an uncanny resemblance to Heartsdales:

and

thankfully they haven't really used that look for anything other than a couple of pics on their website.

^ Glad somebody agrees with me somewhat I mean, they're their own unique duo, but I just found it amusing how

1) Their musical style at times sounds just like Puffy...plus they do the whole "who stands on which side" bit (Haruka on left, Yukari on right), which I know Puffy does as well (perhaps this is a thing most Japanese duos do so people won't get them mixed up? o_o)

2) Heartsdales - girls rapping.

3) Orange Range - their crazy rapping skills...HALCALI sings some stuff really fast like OR does o_O; And their songs are just as random as OR's can be. ^^

I was kinda interested when I first heard about halcali but was kinda disappointed after hearing them. I'ev only heard three songs but none really impressed me, I don't know if this makes any sense but from their style it seems like I should like them. Maybe I haven't heard the right songs or something but I still feel like I could like them even though I'm not keen on anything I've heard as of yet.

I LOVE HALCALI!!!!

though I've only "just" learned about them ^^
I saw their GiriGiri Safuuraidaa PV on the JPopsuki stream and thought it was the most amuzing PV ever ^__^
but I didnt pay attention to the name and forgot about it again fast
but then just by coincidence I switched in just at the right time to see it again and that time noted the name

and thanks to superdonut I could dl their stuff as well!

what I admire about them the most, is that they really seem to enjoy themselves when perfoming a song, be it the singing or the dancing.
it all seems so unstrained/informal and fun ^___^

well I havent heard any song by Heartsdale and havent actually heard of them at all except for some sets someone posted in the fan works board.
as for Orange Range. I just saw 2 pvs of them I think and forgot all about what it sounded like already ^^ so I cant really compare it
and regarding Puffy [amiyumi]... I only know the cartoon thus the few songs in it, but I agree with the fixed position stuff ^^

Woaaah; That picture of the Heartsdales & Halcali look so much alike.. Are you sure it's not the same people o__o

I really like the Halcali duo, I love their rapping, their singing.. AND THEIR DANCING IS THE BEST I actually tried to dance like them.. u__u' You can imagine XD

They're an awesome duo, I can never say that the Halcali songs sound like another artist. They're just too unique to me.

Giri Giri Surfrider was the first PV I saw from them (and the first song I heard) Then, I really got into them! =)
Yay for Halcali fans!

Just tried them out, and they're definitely not run-of-the-mill pop. Uber-funky and insanely random. I like.

Like I mentioned in another thread, there's a band in Taiwan called Won Fu that vaguely resembles HALCALI, although they do more retro stuff. But just as random and fun as them.
