The Panasonic camera's ayu promotes (specifically lumix)

I live in America but if I buy one of those cameras will I still be able to use it? I like the Lumix camera in the commercial with alterna in the BG. It looks pretty spiffy. So will it work for me? Like when you print out your pictures and stuff. Or are Japanese cameras different from American?

EDIT: I also like the FX01 one too.

It works the same!
All Lumixes have menus in english too.

No problem buying one!
The quality is the best! Better than the so-called Sony CyberShots.

I live in Brazil and I have a Lumix FX-01 ^^

I bought my Lumix camera for roughly $400 USD...the Lumix cameras DO work in the US; luckily, Japan's electrical sockets are similar to the US sockets so you can plug your battery charger into the wall with no trouble in the US.

You CAN buy Lumix in the US, too....they just don't have as much selection when it comes to the colour of the camera..

I'm planning to buy one before I go to Japan! I just want the best quality photos and not because ayu promotes them but because my friends have told me the Lumix has the best quality than Sony and Canon supposedly. So has the guy I was talking to who helped me pick out a camera. He said going with the FX-7 or 8.i don't know anything about cameras.

I have the Lumix FX9 but personally I'd recommend you to buy
FX01 instead, both has the same features but the newer version(01) has
the 28mm wide lens but it really depends on what you're going for...
more professional fx01 or less professional the older versions..

You can buy the FX01 at bestbuy for about $320, but they only have silver. I bought mine online at beachcamera.com for 300 and got the black one!

Please compare cameras, there is a review at www.dpreview.com
