But alas, there is no PV. It would kind of ruin it for me too depending on what they tried to do with it because it's definitely one of my favorite Ayu songs (if not my favorite). So anyhow... that was a bit of a spazz moment ![]() |

I've always pictured a PV for "Memorial Address" that would be like this:
All in black and white. Ayu goes back to her childhood house. As she walks, she remembers her father. She looks in a room. Flashback: "teddy bear" scene. She's sleeping in the arms of her father, but when she wakes up, she's holding a teddy bear instead. Back to the house, Ayu looks at the pictures. Next scene, Ayu's in a little canot (boat) and she's holding daisies. She starts to cry and it starts to rain. Next scene, Ayu's near the beach. She's holding a real picture of her and the father. She sings. Last scene, you see Ayu crying in a corner in the house, throwing the daisies in the ocean (boat scene) and the picture of her and her father fly in the wind... Then a zoom in the sky and then lyrics from the song appear. "I wish I could have heard from you That I had certainly been loved by you Only once, even if it had been a lie"

This is how I see it...
The phone rings and Ayumi leaves her boyfriend sleeping to pick it up. She sings the lyrics into the phone...getting more emotionally distressed visually. As the guitar kicks in, Ayumi slams the phone down in anger. She leaves through the door and into a street. Everyone is watching her & whispering. Ayumi starts screaming and running down as the chorus starts. She runs into a shadowy figure, she looks up at the man and we see Ayumi from a different angle and there's nobody there. Ayumi keeps running and then we see what we believe to be her boyfriend standing around watching her. Everyone in the street suddenly looks like the old shadowy man but in a quick flash the street is suddenly deserted and Ayumi starts pulling her hair thinking she's go insane. As the song ends (when the guitar ends and it's just the piano & ayumi) we see a slip of paper from the sky and Ayumi catches it in her hand...with a memorial address written on it. We see Ayumi wipe away her tears and walk into the distance and then a man walks into shot - he looks old & elderly almost ghost like. He's trembling and slowly follows Ayumi from a distance and then we fade to black. Basically, so the old man was Ayumi's father who I guess the song is about. The message of the song is that Ayumi's father gave Ayumi a memorial address and to keep looking for him and that one day they'll meet again but really Ayumi's father is always with Ayumi inside her heart...cheesy I know but you know - you can make your ideas about what it would be. |
