Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical is coming out w/ a solo album in Sept. what do you guys think?
Her new/first music video premiered on Disney channel last nite. itz called Come Back to Me.

my thoughts on Vanessa and her acting/music career:
she's very very very pretty
she's a pretty ok singer but not amazing... actually kinda nasal...
she did some GOOD acting in High School musical- great chemistry w/ Zac Efron
but
she CANNOT dance- as her music video shows... itz really weird and akward...
the song is cute and catchy. i just wish it had better lyrics and that she didn't try to be all thugish in it...

Good gawd, she was the ONLY thing flawed with the High School Musical cast. I can't stand her voice, and she is seriously singing through her nose. Ugh now we have to hear SOLO work from her. Sad day. No wonder her solo track is the only song I skip on the HSM Soundtrack.

Haha, I just don't like her!!

yeah, i'm a bit the same way. but she has been growing on me... i kno she tries... >.< but she herself said she had never heard herself sing until they finished the HSM soundtrack and she listened to it! hmmm good singers kno all about their voice, the good and bad of it... >.< anywayz...

Um, she was casted as a star BECAUSE she can sing.

The song is catchy, but I don't like her.

omg, she needs to stop tryna be like J.LO

She was cool in High School Musical but her coming out with an actual album is like O.o

I didn`t really like Come back to me song or video. The song was just too, I dunno but I didn`t like it and the video made no sense. The Black and White scenes were ok but everything else was either too J.LO-ish or didn`t make sense. Her voice is ok.

Another J.LO wannabee. Needless to say both of them are Spanish.

Not exactly. Technically, she's Filipino-American since her mother is Filipino.
Her mother is of Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish descent.

As for the song. Not exactly the best for a debut.

OMG i dislike it...
there is like absolutely no instruments in that song it is all like techno beats and all
and her dance moves are just freaky (she calls them her dance moves)
she totally can't dance

she just annoys me i dislike this girl......

As a few of the people in this thread already stated: I personally like Ashley Tisdale a lot more. Vanessa's debut was weak in my mind and as much as I wanted Baby Come Back to Me to grow on me, it never did. Ashely, on the other hand, had quite a few fantastically catchy songs. I actually just bought that album this week and I really like it, even if I keep listening to the same three songs over and over without branching out past the fifth song.

Either way, I despise High School Musical, so I couldn't even comment on what I think of her in that. The leaked pictures were...interesting though.

^lmfao. Vanessa singing "Shake Yer Dixxx"?! But no, Vanessa has the best voice out of the HSM cast. Ashley's voice is total garbage, even though I do love four songs from her album. However, I think Vanessa's album was much more rounded and solid. Plus it sold more.

vannessa has great voice, i admit but my opinion about her changed after the nude photo issue. I hope she learned her lesson now.

Well kudos to her for trying to expand after *shudder* High School Musical, but to be honest she seems to remind me of Hillary Duff. Sorta cute, popular with the kids, an acceptable singing voice....but a terrible artist. I expect more Disney channel personnel joining the fold over the coming years.
