And from the Making of... Stars Are blind, she was so sweet to everyone and even to the papparazzi. She was smiling the whole time.

Basically I was in my room watching Stars are blind. It was basically clips of her and stuff. Then I met her and we hung out together. She didn`t really act that stuck up or mean or anything. It was pretty cool. That`s about it.

Weird
i told you the album has subliminal messages lol i had a dream before i posted about it in this forum to be honest you should listen to Chris Kay's album its way better than paris's album lol

That surprised me really, I expected it to drop out quickly because of the not-so-good reviews and her drink-driving arrest. Plus she broke 100,000 already.

Kelis' highly anticipated follow up to Tasty dropped to #58 from #10 in it's second week. I wonder how B'Day is doing..

I think Paris's album is pretty good , in it's own genre of pure pop. it's certainly better than anything by Jessica Simpson lol

I found this video of her doing promotion for her album in Japan. Ayumi Hamasaki is mentioned in it too
[youtube] Paris promoting her album in Tokyo

I think Paris debuted at no.8 on the Oricon charts.

Paris's album isn't doing that bad on Billboard charts either. it's not uncommon for albums to drop 50 places in one week. it debuted high & it'll probably bounce back higher on the charts when she releases a new single off the album.

New single already out, "Nothing In This World". For some reason, it started getting airplay here in Malaysia. o__o That's very quick for a new song.

I think Paris might go Gold status.

I think it's sad that Jesse McCartney got a lower rating in Rolling Stones [as did Jessica Simpson] than Paris.. o-o

So I was at B&N with a friend (Who sings) today, and for some reason she really wanted to buy this album; I just had to stop her.

Friend: Oooh. Paris! I really want that!
Me: Don't buy it, it's horrible.
Friend: But I really want it!
Me: Have you heard the songs?
Friend: No.
Me: She can't sing, *Imitates singing style*
Friend: *Blinks and finds a Michael Buble album instead*

Sigh, the album really isn't so bad! I bought it at Circuit City, because it's only $9.99 there. A lot of people think that music has to be meaningful or deep, or that the singer has to have a beautiful voice.

I agree that Paris doesn't deserve her fame. I also agree that she's not a good singer! However, I do think the album has good songs on it! I enjoy listening to at least 5 or 6 of the tracks. I don't care how airy her voice is or how stupid her lyrics are.. the sounds on the CD somehow strike some chord in my brain, and I enjoy the CD!

So, don't stop your friends from buying it! Maybe they'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it, too! I haven't taken it out of my car CD player since I bought it.

Honestly, if this album was done by some random superstarlet who is uber popular and well respected, people'd love it..

Just cause it's Paris.. :/

Of course she is nice with the paparazzi. They are the reason she is famous in the first place. Plus, she isn't that stupid to be mean when there's cameras around (and even if she was, they would cut the part before releasing the making-of).

We're talking about US, not Japan. Drink-driving arrest don't affect sales. And 100k is a huge flop. Even if she sells 500k, the album will still be a flop.

Her album flopped in Japan, too. That surprised me.

Yes, because Jesse McCartney is such a respected artist. At least Paris had some top-notch producers.

I dunno. I can't stand Paris. She just irks the hell out of me.

The album sucked - there's some good production here and there, but if it were done by a better singer... yes, I'd love it. Paris's voice is horrible. I'd still hate it if it were done by someone else whose voice is annoying, though.
