OLIVIA confirmed for PMX 2006

It looks like the negotiations are just about done. The announcement won't be made formally for another day or two, but it sounds like Avex has agreed to send Olivia Lufkin to PMX. She is the voice of Reira from Trapnest and does the theme songs for Nana.

There are some minor issues relating to tech and her rider, but I doubt if there will be any major problems. The agreements just need to be signed and executed.

Please come out to support PMX and OLIVIA. It really is a good convention.

PMX announces the United States debut of Avex's Olivia! Olivia Lufkin will perform in PMX's Pacific Music Live concert series. She will also be attending panels and signing autographs during the PMX convention. Also scheduled to perform at Pacific Music Live are UchuSentai NOIZ, MECHANiCAL PANDA from Tokyo and local bands Dig Jelly and Random Ninjas.

Performing at Pacific Music Live / TBA
Olivia will be live and in concert at Pacific Music Live, and will be attending a panel session and signing autographs at Pacific Media Expo. Her music is featured in the popular anime "Nana" (during the opening sequence in the first season and the ending sequence of the second season). Olivia Lufkin is also a former member of the popular j-pop band D&D. Olivia is appearing courtesy of Avex.

You might be able to take a photo with her if you buy something called a backstage pass which is described in the Pacific Media Expo Livejournal.

I don't think the OLIVIA fanclub will be much of a factor so anybody will be eligibile to purchase one of these. Avex is usually very strict about photographs and so that might be the only oppurtunity for general attendees to get their photgraphs with OLIVIA. At the panels, they usually escort the guest out through some side entrance and at autograph sessions, they don't allow photos because it would take too long if they allowed it.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Oct. 7 on the PMX website.

Honestly, I can...I have enough money for the membership RIGHT NOW. I could pay for the tickets (as long as they dont sell out) but being 15, I cant really go by myself...Thats where the problem lies. I cant pay for TWO people

Anyone above 12 can go alone. If you're twelve, you need an adult with you. I guess they started that in like 03 or something..

OK. Concert is tomorrow. I just got back from pre-registration day and the full-membership badge does have OLIVIA on it. I have a press badge and it has Kyoko Fukada on it. The schedule has changed a little bit. Opening the show will be UchuSentai NOIZ, who will headline Sunday's concert. Second act is Dig Jelly. If you saw them last year, they rocked.

Also announced is that Olivia's entire family will be in attendance, including her parents and sister, Caroline. Don't forget about the NANA costume contest that OLIVIA will judge Saturday morning. I saw the room that it will be in and it is very small.

I'm going to be shooting the concert, so don't throw stuff at me.
