J-pop/rock suggestions?

Because there's not enough of these threads right now If you could recommend some artists to me and some song titles, I'd really appreciate it <3

I barely listen to any j-pop. I'm open to anything other than rap and that kind of stuff.

Like: Ayu, Koda Kumi
Dislike: High and Mighty Colour (rock, pop whatever they are), Morning Musume/Mini Moni-like stuff, Ai Otsuka, Mika Nakashima

I know asongforxx recently asked for j-rock suggestions, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. I'd like to expand what I listen to, I guess. I like heavier stuff, but I don't want to limit it to that.

Like: Dir en grey, MUCC, Kagrra,, Gazette, Plastic Tree, Sadie, Kalimero, Merry, Shiina Ringo
Dislike: Moi dix Moi, Malice Mizer, Miyavi, Vidoll, L'Arc en Ciel

Why do you hate HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR? T_____T My favorite band.

Anyhow, if you like the mellow rock genre, try REMIOROMEN. I also like Cocco, fra-foa, SHAKALABBITS, Tommy heavenly6... Maybe JUDY AND MARY too. But the front singer's voice can get a little annoying at times.

I'll keep in touch with this thread for the J-Rock suggestions! I haven't really found a lot of artists I really like... I can't find more bands like HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR! Or at least Tommy heavenly6.

As for J-Pop: BoA, aiko, the brilliant green, Namie Amuro...

I highly recommend hitomi. She's THE best.

The only ones left for me to recommend is Angela Aki, but IMO, she's not even nearly as good as Mika, Ayu or Utada.

Oh, Utada Hikaru. There's a reason she has 3 albums in the Top 10 Highest Selling Japanese Albums Of All Time. Any of her singles are good enough to be worshipped.
Recommended: Hikari, Sakura Drops, Traveling, Automatic, Addicted To You, COLORS, Keep Tryin', This Is Love.

May i know why you dislike High & Mightly Colors?

Since i don't find anything wrong with them.....i need to know why, that way i will get an idea of your reason of dislikes, so that i can recommend the other artist.

Well you haven't mentioned that you wouldn't like any of the Johnny's boybands, so I guess they could be an option too. Some, like KinKi Kids and Tackey and Tsubasa, are actually decent.
