Singing abilities aside, I think Yui acted very well as Kaoru Amane in the movie. I have no idea about Sawajiri, since I loved her in Ichi Rittoru but Yui seemed to match the part the best.

^ I watched the movie a few days ago. I thought the movie was very slow and kind of boring. YUI's acting is... okay.... nothing special really. I only saw the first 20 minutes of the drama with Erika so I can't really judge... But from "1 Litre of Tears" like you said, she was wonderful.

I saw the movie in a theater, I think it helped enhanced the movie a bit. Yeah, it was kinda draggy at parts, but I liked how her character was very down to earth. Anywho, I should find someone who's seen both the drama and the movie so they can give a comparison review of the both. Like an indepth review rather than I think she was better for the part over her.
