I think Jazz would work great for her ballads. Or she could do something like BoA's Flying Garden [?] from Girls on Top album. But overall, an all-jazz album would be a big flop, I guess.

As for more rock, it's a big no no. Why? Real rock is for real rock fans. Her present fanbase wouldn't like real-thing rock, and people who like rock would never really look at her seriously. IMO that would go nowhere. I think she needs to have that pop line in her songs, or else she'll sink.

Unless she goes completly visual kei, in terms of image and music. I bet people would just flip, although I can't be sure if that would help her sales

Her voice is perfect for trance/techno/eurobeat hence all the old remix albums.

Some sort of experimental electronica would sound amazing. Techno ballads, and connected-like positivity = amazing Ayu album.

It would be completely out there in terms of the current music scene, yet it's something she and her fans are familiar with.

I don't think she ever released anything that sounded R&B (and hip-hop either) and I really hope she never does it. Jazz... Ummm. I think it would be weird since her voice isn't exactly sultry.

She's pretty much done everything in the general sense.

For any pop star to accomplish what she's accomplished in less than 10 years is like totally awesome.

And yes she has done R&B before. Remember the original kanariya? And also In the Corner is very pop/R&B sounding

So yeah you might have missed those.

ayu does have a very sultry lower register. If her vocals weren't so processed you'd hear it more often.

I think Ayu just needs to do what she feels like, not what like she hasn't done. I believe she needs to go in whatever direction she feels most strongly to in the most for her future releases whether it be rock, pop, electronica, etc.
