This is the first time she's had a video for a non-single song since 2003. And it's the second time she's ever had a video for a non single song.

the special version of boku wa kuma had a photobook, and the first press of UH4 had a second disk containing two live performances (which I own). :^D

but yeah, this is only the second time she's ever had a first press of anything, bwk doesn't even count cause it's still purchasable online and not even "first press". That's pretty sad. lol it was released in 2006 and the "special" version is still available at cdjapan and yesasia.

We talked about Hikki yesterday in my sociolinguistics class.

The unit we're doing right now is about code-switching, and we were going over the finer points of using non-sensical Engrish in songs versus bilinguals writing their own lyrics and code-switching intrasentially between English/Japanese like Hikki does. We looked at Eternally, In My Room, Addicted to You, etc. So fun.

Some godawful singer named Miho-something who had a "hit" in 1987 called "Catch Me." I was thinking about sending my prof a youtube link for Real me, but the English in that song makes sense in that it's actually related to the content of the Japanese lyrics, so I don't think it'd be the best example for her future classes.

I hated Mai so much in the beginning because everyone knew she's trying to mimic hikki's strategy: hidden herself, making R&B, blah blah blah. But I ended up liking her songs.

But I only like her early songs. All the songs after Perfect Crime are kinda blend.
