Argh, I wanted to go to the signing today at the Best Buy in LA, but the mall where she's holding the signing has ridiculous rules. No photographs, required to buy a copy of the album there to get a wristband, etc. Oh, well. Still happy with my deluxe edition copy.

However, I think the T-shirt isn't that great. But it's the album that really matters.

^^Ohh that's right, she did one in Philly the other day too. I heard like ~2000 people showed up, and she only signed ~500 bracelets or something like that. Traffic was all kinds of messed up ... sounds like a mess.

Yeah, gay guys seem to love her (me included, haha). I don't know what it is about her that makes her so popular within the LGBT community. It's probably the fact that she dresses up in wigs and has some wacky outfits. She dresses up a lot (like drag queens do). I think she would be a great gay icon because she knows that she can be seen as a misfit but doesn't care. She doesn't care about what people think about her. Roman is her gay male sister, for goodness's sake, and he pops up EVERYWHERE. I like the fact that she's bridging the gap (even if just a little) between the LGBT community and hip-hop/rap.

I think you're right. I was just telling one of my gay friends that I'm the only straight person that I know who likes her, everyone else is gay . My gay friends say that the like that she actually talks about homosexuality too, and isn't totally passive in her gay icon role, as some divas are. Like, how she will address it in interviews and appears in publications such as Out Magazine. And she raps things like "F♥♥♥ who you want, and f♥♥♥ who you like", which is my personal favorite lyric from her, so she even addresses it in her lyrics, in a sense. Also, she did work with MAC for AIDS, worked with Madonna and such.
