I would say some of the work she did with Rabbit is worth checking out;

RUNWAY is my favorite, but 泡ガール may be more in style with what you are looking for. Additionally, you should also check out her b-sides if you are new to the fandom.

Interesting she has a new album coming out already. However, the concept looks bizarre. If she insists on continuing to utilize the term "LOVE" in her album titles (which I like), she should continue to make the album covers consistent with being of a single concept. Thanks for informing us!

Damn - Kumi, Ayu, AND Ai all have albums coming out. We just need Utada to announce one and then it'll be like 2006 all over again!

If you like those songs you mention check out LOVE PiECE album and Ai am best, should be a start. Personal favoruites are Planetarium, kingyo Hanabi, CHU-LIP, sakuranbo and mirai taxi

I say this because the songs OP originally mentioned are more in line with Rabbit's 泡ガール than some of Ai's best known songs. For example, Sakuranbo is nothing like the songs that the OP mentioned. The songs the OP mentioned have more laid-back verses that lead into somewhat of a happy-go-lucky chorus. Sakuranbo as well as CHU-LIP are quirky from beginning to end. CHU-LIP even has the potential to scare away potential listeners, lol. It's a little too quirky, especially with those "Ah-HOW, Ah-HOW, Ah-HOOWs" before the chorus. The Rabbit songs that I have chosen have just the right amount of Ai personality without being too jarring. Truly enjoyable in every regard, imo.

Don't think so. Rabbit is pretty different from everything. i agree on sakuranbo and CHU-LIP tough, I just said those are my favs. Yet i feel Love Piece is pretty much in line what LUCKY STAR and LOVE FANTASIC are...yes those two are dfferent but could also fit on that album in a way

First of all I apologise for answering so late but I have been busy for a while. Thank you for your suggestions, I've downloaded the songs that Zeke kindly uploaded for me and the Love Piece album + Ai best. Still have to download the b-sides, will get to that as well!
I haven't listened to everything yet, but as for CHULIP and sakuranbo I must say that I hate them lol. Too...yeah, quirky is the word. Planetarium was already a personal fave, I also love kurage, nagareboshi. Will try out everything you suggested, as well as the previews for the new album. thanks guys!
