What a joke. And a bad one. Who cares about a tour in Japan, it's been the case for the last 25 years. This is beyond stupid.

Yep, she trolled us again.

I'm truely relieved she's not retiring, I was very scared for some minutes, refreshing my browser every 3 seconds expecting the worst xD
But the "first and last big announcement" news being another tour is very disappointing.
I mean, she didn't do the whole teasing "prepare yourself for 4 months" drama thing when announcing the TROUBLE Tour which was already extra long...
Now I won't be able to take her seriously ever again with all these dramatic announcements...

We can roll eyes and think that ayu fooled us with "big announcement", but it doesn't mean that it wasn't big for her. She said that she hate "ayumi hamasaki", her stage persona, and going to stop it.

The dynamic was writing something you want to "throw away", like a habit or behavior you don't want to be with you anymore. So she doesn't want to hate her public persona anymore and want to embrace it, so it's the opposite of retiring.

That’s not what that means. She wrote, “I hate ‘Hamasaki ayumi’”. Tore it up and threw it away. Meaning she has decided to embrace her stage/product persona.

I had great seats right next to VIP area. Naoya was there as well as her mother. Was personally hoping for Gackt but oh well.

I think that is what Aderianu meant with: 'and going to stop it', to stop hating Ayumi Hamasaki.

For people who are pissed with the news, it's big news for her Japanese fans. She never did a tour making shows in all Japan prefectures and probably it will be the last time she's going to do that (first and last big news). It's not what we expected (she even trolled us showing Earth globe before the announcement lol), but she wasn't making much ado for nothing, it's really big for her and her fanbase.

Yea i remember someone asked her during her YouTube random live if she could go to Hokkaido and she said it will take a lot of shipping to get over there and there have been a lot of other matters that needed to be taken into consideration.

And effectively her Hokkaido fans have kinda been excluded every year for the past..idk 20 years. So IT IS a big deal for them and for many who couldnt actually travel out far to watch her before.

(of coz I also wished she announced an Asia tour or something XD but i guess its never gonna happen anymore if its not gonna be THIS tour)

Yes, it's not trivial, it's not "another tour". Here in Brazil we had a singer called Marília Mendonça who did something similar. Her project was doing a show in every capital of our states (26 + federal district) and it was so much difficult in her case because her shows were in public venues for free. It cost A LOT touring all over a country like Brazil, with continental dimensions, but it's also difficult to touring Japan because there's no way to reach every prefecture so easy with all her equipment and stuff.

So, yes, it will probably be "the first and the last" time she will do something like that.

thank you, this was how I've been taking the news, as well. the all-47-prefecture tour is unprecedented ("first") and probably not something she will attempt again ("last"). to me, the news makes sense. plus I'm just relieved that she wasn't announcing a retirement.

Regardless what people say, it may be big news on a way but was it really necessary to make such a big deal about it. I guess that is what flips people off, including me. Also it isn’t that hard to get around in Japan since she played in a lot of big city. “Excluding” is a bit dramatic when talking about fabs from certain prefectures. In Germany bigger acts usually only play in the same three big cities.

Had a blast at the show - slight pity about the lack of “big announcement”, but the show itself was excellent.

Set list seemed to have a really rock vibe to it.

Highlights for me were 100% the opening and Tell All.

The ballad section a bit of a let down to be honest, I think something like Jewel instead of Beloved maybe would have made it better for me, I dunno. Overall vocals were great, she lost it a bit at the start of Heartplace but that is a difficult song I suppose.

Low point was Humming 7/4, such an awful song hahaha

Edit: Also Ayu’s mother was in the first row of the stand, before Ayu came on she was waving and everyone was screaming for her lol
