Illegal downloading affects sales, but not to the point that it would ruin an otherwise successful release.

And anyway, I'm not buying it until the actual physical single is released. I see no point in downloading a song that I'm going to have when I buy the single/album in the future. I like having the actual CD in my hands too, not some piece of bytes.
