Album cover and promotional pictures revealed!
 This is the cover for all three editions of the album. According to their website, it might apparently have a little more going on than you'd see at first glance, but it still looks very stock landscape photo to me, lol.   Promotional picture (and gif). I like their style in these!

ALIVE is out! It debuted at #21 on Oricon.
I thought I might try to hold out on listening to the album until I get my physical copy, but I caved and decided to listen to the two new tracks and was surprised to find that I really like both of them! GET OVER IT actually goes as hard as I think Keshin no Juu and Alive were trying to, and Hi no Tori is a nice mellow track with an anthemic quality. Van sounds really great (especially in GET OVER IT) and Ryo gets some nice guitar moments in both songs. But I do still think that both songs, like everything else from this era, sound a bit muted, especially Van's vocals, and a little... over-processed? I haven't listened to a lot of Hiroyuki Sawano's work, but I get the feeling that it's just a feature of his style, one that I personally dislike and find ill-fitting for Do As Infinity. I received my copy of Alive last week and am really enjoying it although I have still to decide on my favourites etc. Looking forward to watching the concert too!
It's a shame the album didn't break the Top 20 as it's really great.

^ Which edition did you get?
 I bought the CD+Blu-ray edition though I don't own a Blu-ray player... I thought the album could work as an incentive for me to get one, haha. I want to see the concert and tour documentary too!Yeah, it was expected but still a shame that the album didn't do great on the charts. I just checked to see that it peaked at #30 on the Oricon weekly charts.

I also got the Blu-ray version! I'm looking forward to watching the concert. The only other album I have of theirs is Deep Forest so this will be a good way to check out more of their songs. I'm looking forward to watching the Alive and Iron Hornet performances!
I'd love to watch the documentary but will give it as miss as it won't have subtitles.

I think I might have to watch the concert a few more times to familiarise myself with the songs. Summer Days seemed like a great concert closer though.
Alive is such a solid album. My current favourite track is Silver Moon.

^ I love the Ryo t-shirt and I'm ashamed of how long it took me to realize it's supposed to be a reindeer skull; I don't even live that far from where wild reindeer are running all over the place.
 That setlist reminds me I still haven't heard Lovely Day.  It's apparently a Christmas song? Makes sense that they performed it then.Also, I can't believe ALIVE was actually released this year... Somehow it feels like it's been like two years since Do As Infinity released anything and I miss them.

I wish Lovely Day and the two other songs released as CD-only bonus tracks during the last era were available somehow (would be awesome if they were made digitally available after a delay) but I haven't even seen them downloadable on the internet.
Maybe one day...The setlist looks great!

Finally we'll get to hear it! I'm happy about this release! Some of these songs are really rare and it's nice to get them in one package. And it's all songs that weren't on the first Do The B-Side!I wonder if Elegy will be a different version than the one on the single release? Hallelujah at least will.
