Wow at that DVD.. what a waste.
I've now come to the conclusion this whole release is lame. Should have just had a summer single instead.

It's just like kuu's summer remix album DVD less few old pvs on it. It's like they use the exact same strategy for both lol.

I was hoping that the content on this DVD would be the saving grace that would make me want to purchase this album but unfortunately, I will be passing on this release at this time (I may purchase it in the far future when I can find it used and cheap). The only things that appeal to me regarding this release are "Happening Here", "You & Me", and numbers 1 - 16 and 26 on the DVD tracklist. I already have all of her albums and tour and countdown live DVDs as well as the "&" single which has the "theme of a-nation '03" so for me, the content that I'm interested in isn't worth paying $50+ for. I'm quite disappointed that it turned out this way as I really wanted to support her with this release but I'll just use the money I was going to spend on this to buy something else from her that's more worth my while.

It's kind of weird that they went with those video clips over others and some concert footage over a-nation footage as well.

Missed opportunity.

Why do they have video clips for the last few...? And she hasn't performed a more up to date version of 17 through 20??? Does anyone know if she sounded good live in the stadium tour? Cause in the few clips I saw of oldschool ayu lives she sounded HORRIBLE! and she looked awkward and boring...

The Stadium tour has her best vocals and doesn't have PECO and Princess which is a good thing. The Monochrome performance is like a minute long though as it's part of a medley..weird

As was mentioned before, this release should have been a summer single featuring "You & Me" as the title track and "Happening Here" as the b-side. It could have included the video and making of "You &Me" and a collection of all of her a-nation performances on the DVD as well as the "Greatful days" performance at RAINBOW HOUSE as a bonus.

^ I agree. That would've made a great single content.
The better promotion for A SUMMER BEST (especially the uploads on YouTube) made me really look forward to this release, but I thought they'd include not-before-seen a-nation lives for the DVD. I mean, they did with some, but why the video clips that are on regular albums?

They should have just released the 2 new songs as a single, this compilation just seems excessive. As for the covers, it is basically a wax model of ayu.

Well, isnt ANY Best album pointless for fans?
I really think this is just for people that dont buy ALL her albums.
But want her popular hits.

While I do think that the target audience for best albums may be people who aren't fans, I wouldn't necessarily say that all best albums are pointless for fans if they contain enough exclusive material such as new songs, different mixes of songs previously released, performances, or music videos that aren't available on the original albums or DVDs to make the purchase worthwhile. While I can only speak for myself regarding this release, had the DVD tracklist contained all exclusive content, I would have been willing to purchase it despite the CDs only containing two songs that aren't on other physical releases even though I have all of her albums and compilation albums besides "A BEST".

Ah, finally a tracklist. So, that's confirmed, then? No remix or rearrangement? And that DVD clips, don't get me started. The whole thing has been an absolute misfire. Like a giant, permanent middle finger. Bash me all you want, I'm **** disappointed.

However, I don't think anyone expected her to rerecord anything or rearrange/remix.

I'm with you, 17 out of 26 tracks have already appeared on previous compilations so they should have done something special with them. All her previous compilations have been pretty incredible though.
