I remember when No way to say was performed NO ONE HAD ANY IDEA SHE WAS GOING TO SING A NEW SONG. It was awesome and that needs to happen more often.

I just remember the time when fairyland was sang on Hey!x3 like, a long time before the single was even released, and listening to and watching the show over and over and over and being so excited. I feel like it was much earlier than most of her performances went in terms of promoting before release date. (June 27th, 2005 was the Hey!x3 air date, the single was released August 3rd.) She performed it 4 times before it was released! gah

The bolded part cracked me up.

I feel the same way. I remember when we would first hear a new song on a CM, and then she would perform it live several times before it was actually released, and then we would get the full-length PV...and THEN the new song would be officially released. The way avex does "promotion" anymore is just sad.

And don't get me started on the useless short version PVs.

They don't make me want to buy the PV anymore (because the only way I'll purchase a PV is if it's good...the WHOLE WAY THROUGH), and short versions don't necessarily make eventually watching the full version any more enjoyable...actually, they make the full version LESS enjoyable a lot of the time. Whoever came up with that bright idea needs to be fired.

I remember that too, it was such an exciting way to hear that song.

I believe JEWEL got an equally early live performance before the release date as part of Secret.

This makes me feel like an old Ayu fan, haha.

Ya short versions are dumb but they're afraid that no one will buy the +DVD versions if they upload the full thing

w/e I just hope ayu's next album has a CD+blu-ray edition released at the same time. ayu's label mate tokyo girls style is doing it for their upcoming album so hopefully it starts a trend.

I agree. It seems that instead of getting her songs out there, avex is trying to hide them instead. It still kinda of baffles me that they don't seem to be seriously getting the point of youtube completely. I understand they are trying to sell her PVs as well, but it should be the other way around as they aren't called PROMOTIONAL videos for nothing...they are supposed to help sell the product and not be the product itself...

Namie Amuro has released CD+Blu-Ray Disc for Uncontrolled. I believe that ayu will release something like that very soon.

Blame Johnny's. They started the whole short PV nonsense. I guess they maybe saw a rise in DVD sales because of it? I don't know, but Avex decided to follow suit.

Didn't Ayu's channel initially have full versions of all her PVs before they switched them out? I know a lot of views are not accounted for because they uploaded new short versions after the full ones got a lot of views. (They're just made private on the ayu account)

It did and it was awesome as it had a purpose while now it's pretty much useless...

CDJapan's order isn't even on ready to ship status...
It means it will have 3 days on this oricon week and it would explain why it still didn't leak, if it's true.

It should leak around Wednesday though (if it will be in stores only on Friday.)

I mean, We've heard Sweet scar and Wake me up, because of radio rips, but all we reeived by Avex was that short version of Sweet scar Pv ...
I really like this, but I'm not gonna buy this untill I'm not totally sure I will like it.
I now that complaining won't bring the leak, but I have too XD
