If she ever decides to stop making new material, I hope she'll continue to release remix and classical albums.

You & Me is on there. Ugh. I really don't get these things. You & Me was a new song and a part of a compilation album. She never puts (and in practice this rule goes for all new songs that are included on compilation albums) the new compilation album track on the next studio album. It's just funny that she breaks this rule with You & Me which is horrible, yet one of her most amazing songs which is part of Me was not on the album.

I really don't know what the heck is she doing with all these releases but it's not good at all. She releases two maxi singles masked as mini albums and then just combines their names and makes an album out of them. Where the hell has all the creativity gone? An album titled "LOVE again"? Really?

I don't know, but she really didn't need this whole "5 releases" thing in her discography at all. I mean, vogue, Far away and SEASONS was a great project and it made a lot of sense. Kumi's 12 weeks 12 singles were at least marketed as singles (as well as v/Fa/S) so one would expect they would eventually end up on an album or a compilation album. IMHO their masking of LOVE and again as mini albums was a terrible move and completely unnecessary (maybe not for avex, but for fans it definitely was).

Also her covers are just getting worse and worse. I won't comment further on this since this is all subjective.

Meh I just don't know what to think of this all.

You sum up my feelings much better than I can

Although based on the strength of the "minis", I'm expecting the new album to be really strong...my main problem with it now is that I don't see a particularly "theme" for it that will make it stand out it her discography. Like with the covers, it comes off as a second attempt at Love songs, but then each track on the minis have reminded me of a different era/album of Ayu and I'm not sure how they're all going to work together.

It's not like there's a lot of example. There's only part of me. So I don't think you can say that there's a rule.
The 5 release is a countdown celebration for her 15th anniversary. It just lets the fans to look forward to the big event (or at least what it's supposed to be)
The album covers are nice! What it lacks is creativity that's all. I also miss her olden days creativity with theme covers like duty, I am... a little cosplay would be nice

M was a single first.
It didn't go from the BEST album to single to Album
so you example is wrong.

the only other examples we have is Part of Me, Rainbow, and that other song on A Ballads... those have never been released onto a new album before.

No I didn't, if you read fully, the only example I quote was part of me. I put down M cos it was in a best/compilation before an album. And yeah I treat LOVE and again as singles.
As for RAINBOW, there's already an album named after it. So it would b kinda ridiculous to release it in another album after it. Satsugyo shashin was never her song to began with

At least "A" was marketed as single, and it has more tracks than LOVE or again.

There was a thread here once about how huge Ayu's feet are. Ayupan must just be blessed with big feet too lol

It's a pretty dull "special Ayupan" though...Oh well, maybe I'll be able to pick it up separately later on if I feel the need

I still need to order the CD only version sometime soon.....hopefully after my pay goes through today or tomorrow! Then it will come with A CLASSICAL and I can brace myself for the final release, whatever it is.....

I really don't want either a remix CD or a Best Of.........like it was said above, a Best Of isn't for the fans at all, as they were listening to everything she released. A best collection is more for casual listeners who just want highlights. And we only got the last remix collection not long ago, and with A CLASSICAL technically being a remix, it's too soon.

I would really love an honest maxi single, or possibly a new album with all original material if Avex were so financially inclined......lol
