This isn't really a rumor, but I'm supposing that Ayu will announce a new single this week or next week.

The reason being that she can only get a #1 if she is scheduled for 8/13 or 8/20 due to a lack of extreme competition from Southern All Stars, Mr. Children, or Johnny's.

Seeing as how she announced the last two singles withing a month of release, it's logical to assume that she might announce it a month before this time too.

Hmm well true, but have she had any time to do a new single during this time? Well in the same time, she have done singles with barly no time at all. Its gonna be exciting to follow this and the next week and see. ^^

^ According to people who went to her last show of the tour she mentioned something about a new song...? But I don't know if someone was able to tell us the details (if she was saying that she was making a new song or that instead of singing a new song for the show she'd sing another...). Still, I hope your assumption is right, truehappiness.

It'd be good if she did, but it would make more sense(at least to me) for her to release on the later date if she's putting out a new single, so it'll probably be more towards the end of the week/sometime next week that she announces something if she truly is doing anything.

Well, to look at it from a performance perspective, a-nation will be on the 8/30 and 8/31.

She might totally NOT perform something new, but I think that is unlikely [then again she did totally ditch a new song at the final AT08 >(]~ So there's some assurance that a single might be coming before or after that date.

ayu better announce a new single soon and hopefully it'll be scheduled for 8/13. The new Arashi single is apparently coming out on 8/20.

True, which is why I think maybe she said she'd sing... was it "Who..."? instead of a "new song."

But even then I think, like you said, other sites would say it (I also believe her, btw).

Was "glitter" fairly new when she sang it last a-nation? I mean it wasn't new in the sense that people hadn't heard it before, right? Maybe Ayu's planning to do some staple fun songs and then throw a new one in as a surprise - but I hope I'm not thinking wishfully with that one.

Yeah, it's been a little quiet if Ayu's really said something like that. I did hear her say "atarashii kyoku", but it might just be that I heard it in the wrong context or it was something that just sounded similar. Maybe she said "atashi no kyoku" or something. XD; Or "Mukashi no kyoku". I should have listened more carefully. >.> Ayu announced that the audience at the 6/29 concert were lucky, and then she said there was a "new song", so I immediately thought she was giving us a snippet. Maybe she really meant "Who..."?

Like, "I'm singing a new song that hasn't been sung in previous MCs"... anyway, I hope there's a new single soon! The "atarashii kyoku" thing will be cleared up in the DVD I guess. XD It makes me feel kinda guilty for not being entirely sure about this when you guys believe me. Thanks guys.

I find it uncanny that the Wacoal ad has the words "TRUST ME" written on it, seeing as Ayumi's third single was named "Trust". Knowing that she's re-recorded her second and fifth singles this year.. it makes me think, you know? D: Though, seeing as it's the Chinese version of the ad, "TRUST ME" won't have anything to do with her new single.

[Please let it be 8/20. I'd love to see another Ayumi VS Porno Graffitti.. although Ayumi will most likely come out on top.]
