I haven't been following the thread recently but is Can't Wait Til Christmas a cover/sampled a song because I have this weird feeling that I've heard the composition before.

I thought that the French song was promotion as well. Isn't one of the songs for an Ashita no jo movie or something like that? I guess around 500K in the end is better than alot of other artists could hope for but its still a bit of a surprise.

I think I had the same feeling, and then I realized that the song sounded like Flavour of life in another key. Very pretty song though, all the new ones are (except for that French monstrosity).

oh my god. the poster is horrible. no continuity at all. they could have at least photoshoped the sky around hikki to look like stars, or just had all of the picture with hikki as the poster and gotten rid of the album cover.

The pictures individually would have made interesting posters, but slapped together like that, horrible.

I love the songs, but I dislike the lack of 'effort' by herself and her promotion team..as everyone else is saying

Just..the poster..it would take literally under an hour of their time to make it 10000x better. Seriously. Give those pictures of utada to one of the graphic artists on this very site and they'd make a masterpiece of it in under a day. It really disappoints me when it seems no effort has been put into things like that.

And also the lack of promotion...really, I would of loved some lives from her before her hiatus, I really would of. I love seeing live performances of my favourite artists...especially Ayu, Kuu and Hikki. Just because they breathe life into their songs when they sing live. And it's kinda sad it'll be a while, if ever, if we'll see any of hew new songs live.

I can see nowadays the promotion team should make better tactic because she hasn't been in the music scene for two years. But her promotion was never huge in the beginning (except probly Distance.. , although still not as huge as what avex did to A BEST). She has been "lazy" or "not putting effort" at all for 11 years, can't see the difference.

The low sales only indicates that the promotion method (that they've been using for 10 years) doesn't work for this best album. And I wonder how many copies have been made for the initial shipping..?

The poster may seem simply composed but I can see how it shows the contrast between the sky close to us and the one far away. It's a reflection on Hikki's name, 宇.

wasn't the cover supposed to be really cool, and Utada said that the pictures online didn't do it justice? so, is it really that cool? is it more than just some stars???

it do look better.but its not amazing,if you get what i mean.
i personally don't feel excited or disappointed with the packaging.
the only complaint i want to make is the kuma charm
